“Tasty classic, obscure, and original blues with a swampy feel and a deep devotion to groove!”
Last month on May 11 I checked out this new music/entertainment venue at 110 E. Pennington (between Scott and 6th Avenue) and it has terrific views of the city, and is a bit cooler due to the elevation (over 6 floors). Last month hundreds of people were up there enjoying the music of Five Way Street, drinking Borderlands beer, snacking on pull pork sandwiches & chips, plus lots of dancing to the stars after the sun set. I used to work in the old building at that location when I was Interim Director of the now defunct Domestic Violence Commission. It’s now the lime green parking garage over Park Wise and the popular and elegant Cafe Poca Cosa Mexican restaurant.
More info as always at www.2ndsaturdaysdowntown.com, which is now just over three years old.
