Tucson, Ariz. – October 17, 2011 – Arizona Public Media’s PBS-HD Channel 6 received five Emmy® Awards for television broadcast over the last year and tied for sixth overall (commercial and non-commercial stations) in the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. On a state, non-commercial, level, PBS-HD 6 tied with KAET 8 in Phoenix with five awards.
“These awards for quality and creativity speak volumes about what we produce for people in Southern Arizona,” said Jack Gibson, Director and General Manager of AZPM. “Our job is to share these great stories with the rest of the world, and this recognition shows we’re accomplishing that goal.”
