Delve into Frida Kahlo’s colorful subconscious, in this tribute to the iconic painter and her husband Diego Rivera. This show combines hand puppets, shadow imagery and song, to tell a tumultuous love story. The drama takes place in the painter’s studio on El Dia de los Muertos, accompanied by the fabulous, Jimmy Carr, on accordion.
Puppets Amongus has been invited to the World Puppet Carnival, which will be held in Tucson’s sister city, Almaty, Kazakhstan in September, 2012.
They be performing their Day of the Dead themed show, “El Sueño de Frida” in Central Asia, so please support them if you can. Over the years we have enjoyed seeing their beautiful puppets in the annual El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) All Souls’ Procession in Tucson.
