“An Answer to Bullying”

Saturday, October 20th, 2012

I’ve been covering bullying issues these past three years regarding movies, Wingspan LGBT programs, children’s books, and this Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding‘s efforts. Please attend to find out more of what you can do to stop bullying in our schools. We should be promoting zero tolerance of bullying.

More info contact Jennie Grable at jennie@fundforcivility.org. She is the project manager at the Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding created by CD 8 Congressman Ron Barber, after he was shot twice at the Tucson Tragedy on January 8, 2011.

“Love our Libraries” fundraiser at MAST boutique

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

For those of you who haven’t been to the MAST boutique, it was voted “Best Gifts for the Upscale Bohemian” in the 9/22/11 “Best of Tucson” issue of the Tucson Weekly (page 27). According to that article “items created for sale are, fundamentally, jewelry and assemblages of unexpected found items, like antique lamp parts or vintage glass insulators.”

Website: http://ilovemast.com/ (with photos of their unique items for sale). MAST is located in the Lost Barrio, on Park Avenue south of Broadway.

So support Miles Elementary and Tucson High School libraries by donating your books, cash or bookstore credit, and enjoy your time shopping at MAST.
