About Me
Name: Art Jacobson
Politics: Old Lefty
Favorite Reading: Shakespeare, History, the novels of Alan Furst.
Hobbies: Motorcycles and long-distance touring, Acting, Movies.
Story that tells you something about me: Christopher Morley once had two cats that were so nearly identical that no one could tell them apart. He named them “shall” and “will.” Love it.
Religion: Non-fundy. A little bland Congregationalism on Sunday for an hour would proably not be too destructive of the social order. For the most part I am a “rational humanist”–whatever that is.
Sin: I have been accused of being a “wicked ironist,” but I don’t do shirts.
Grumbly Belief: Trying to write clearly about something is the only way to get clear about it. No one is ever completely successful. Corollary Grumbly Belief: Anything worth having other people read is worth signing. This is the John Hancock Principle.
