Mario Luis Lopez, 33, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Nov. 4, according to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Lopez had been riding his motorcycle south on Nogales Highway around 7:50 p.m. when a northbound Toyota Tacoma pickup turned left in front of him at East Pan Tak Street.

Lopez, who was not wearing a helmet, was unable to avoid crashing into the truck.

He was transported by helicopter to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

No further information was immediately provided, such as if any citations were issued.

Aaron Lyle Ham, 25, was found dead from “multiple sharp edge trauma” following a domestic violence dispute on Sept. 21, according to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Ham had been visiting a residence in the 6500 block of North Hot Desert Trail when a dispute erupted between him and a man who lives there. Deputies were called around 9 p.m.

While the release said it was domestic violence, it did not indicate how Ham and the other man were related or knew each other.

Investigators are looking into the possibility of self-defense as a motive behind the homicide. No arrests have been made.
