Cuts You Up

by on Feb. 03, 2010, under Uncategorized

Remember all the modified shoulder cut shirts from the 80s? Flash dance, Madonna… Well, the art of shirt modification is still alive and well, and we’ve definitely stepped it up a notch or two.

The DIY style of modified t-shirts has been really popular lately. And I mean who wouldn’t love them? When it’s done right with just a few cuts and ties you can turn your simple t-shirt into a super sexy stand out.

I used to cut up shirts when I was in my teens, and it’s really fun. The great thing is your can go to a used/vintage store and bring new life to a lot of old clothing. Even some band shirts you might have sitting in your closet can become new pieces. Even take a men’s sized shirt and turn it into a cut up dress!

There are plenty of online tutorials for t-shirt modification. Youtube, forums, blog communities, and you can even find books about it. But if you don’t want to do it yourself don’t worry, there’s plenty of modified shirts in stores right now.
