A Belated Response To DataPort’s Excellent Questions on the Afghan War
Saturday, August 14th, 2010Please come here and join in the discussion.
A few weeks back, DataPort posted some thoughtful comments, and asked some just-as-thoughtful questions, on the Afghan war. As our military is fighting it, it’s our war.
That war is at a crossroads. General David Petraeus, who achieved at least some level—IMO, a very high level—of success in Iraq, is now in command in Afghanistan. He’ll soon tell us what course he recommends. Now is a good time for us to come to grips with what we’re willing, or not willing, to do in Afghanistan.
