Michael Walsh said it best in yesterday’s National Review: the conservative movement has lost its Achilles. Andrew Breitbart was, indeed, our bravest and most brash combatant. He will always be missed, but he also left behind a growing conservative New Media empire and inspired thousands of conservatives to fight the battle of ideas in new, often bold ways.
On April 30th, Andrew headlined a Tucson Tea Party event. This photo comes from that event; it was taken right after Andrew signed my copy of his book, Righteous Indignation. Andrew gave a (typical for him) tour-de-force speech to the Tea Party crowd that day.
Fortunately, I not only had my video camera that day—my wife made sure I knew how to use it before I left the house.
This weekend, I’ll be transcribing and editing the video, plus gathering some reminiscences of Andrew from folks around the community. Next week I’ll post the video, along with more pictures of the Tea Party event.
Until then, fair winds and following seas, Andrew Breitbart…and thank you.
