Ein Prosit! Ein Prosit! Der Gemutlichkeit!

Ah, Schadenfreudebrau. Es schmeckt! Slainte, y'all!

Ein!

I would like to offer these words of comfort. When you progressive/liberal/Democratic activists look back on your quest to begin the Wisconsin recall movement, I want you to appreciate the amazing amount of work that you spent on it. You called. You networked. You wrote letters and blog posts. You contributed to opposition groups. You reached out, and found people just like you, and you banded together to fight. You marched, and you stormed the state capital, and you were arrested. And you kept going, and calling, and struggling, and you put your time, your money, and every atom of your being on the line. For some of you, this was your finest moment. You fought for this. You fought so hard for this.

Oddly enough, I didn’t do any of that, but I won anyway. That’s because you suck, and I don’t.

Well, I didn’t say that they were words of comfort for you.

RECALL WINNER Rebecca Kleefisch: “THIS Is What Democracy Looks Like”

G’suffa!

UPDATE:Bartender, another round!

MSNBC is consistently the most entertaining news network in America when things go badly for the left. They may think Fox is in the tank for the GOP, but Fox anchors don’t cry when the GOP loses. I was actually concerned that Ed Schultz might have a medical episode on live television last night. It was … surreal. Now I know what MSNBC means by lean forward. I leaned forward as I was viewing, watching for signs of possible coronaries live on TV.

Yes indeed. THIS is what Democracy looks like. It doesn’t look like a mob pissing in defecating in and otherwise defacing the state capital building ($4M to repair, tax money wasted), it doesn’t look like teacher’s abandoning children to go march and turning in bogus doctor’s notes. It doesn’t look like State lawmakers abandoning their jobs and holing up in another state expecting to still be paid and their travel expenses to be covered.

I’m sure Wisconsin Democrats are wanting voter ID laws now, and probably wanting to end same day registration/voting. I think we need to do both those so I agree with them.

Godspeed Walker and Kleefisch! Point the way to how to get this DONE in my state.

P.S. – “because you suck, and I don’t”??? Oh brother, some kids never grow up.

Kids who never grow up? You mean, like the anti-Walker protesters crying in their Birkenstocks on Tuesday night?  Those ancient hippies from the ’60s and the Occupy-Everything hippie wannabees from the present?

This is what Democracy looks like: Over 70% of all WI recall voters feel a recall is appropriate only for misconduct, or never appropriate at all. And the same recall voters support Obama’s reelection over Romney 52-43%.

Clearly WI voters are willing to consider their vote carefully and vote a thoughtful decision and not blind ideology – while allowing Walker to fulfill his term, they also gave control of the state senate back to Democrats. Walker is done ramming his Koch brothers financed agenda through the legislature.
