Half-Life 2 on Steam for Mac OSX…tomorrow.

by on May. 25, 2010, under Arts

If you own a Mac or just want to see a cool trailer involving Half-Life 2, then head on over to Steam right now.

Ah the classic crowbar that started the series. Wait. Alex is throwing the crowbar? She stole Gordon Freeman’s crowbar? Things could get…complicated. Or already are.

At any rate, I suppose that in less than 24 hours, we PC gamers will have to consider the Mac a gaming platform. Sort of.

This will definitely shake things up for a while around the gaming industry.

Once you beat this game, head here and watch both of our gaming skills be put to shame by a team of the world’s best. “I’m sorry sir but he flew over our heads while surfing on an empty bleach bottle!”

Yes!  Half-Life 2 is now for both PC and Mac!

There are also achievements for the game now.  Oh dear.  Now I’ve got to play that game again.  But it is a fun game!

It appears that The Orange Box is on sale too for $21…with a teaser.  Team Fortress 2 is also going to become SteamPlay enabled!

    Rock on Valve!

Just found a couple additional deals:

Sins of a Solar Empire for $3.99 (PC)
    Demigod for $9.99 (PC)

And GoGamer has its usual 48-hour madness going on.  I’m feeling lazy to post the same things over and over at the moment.  Basically the same deals they keep having.  And the free game they send you is Maelstrom.  They must have an entire warehouse of that game.  They couldn’t sell it and when they started giving it away, they told buyers what the free game was.  I gather they must have seen a drop in sales, so they now just tell you that you get a free game with your order.

Since I’m not a console gamer, I don’t really have a good feel for the games in the Sega Genesis Classics Pack.  I’m pretty sure I’ve seen or briefly played Ecco the Dolphin.  I don’t know about the rest.  I suspect to get these to play on Windows, Sega is using an emulator so the controls are likely a bit awkward.
