This is a great succinct post about an issue that a lot of people have been confused about.A few weeks ago Demand Progress sent out an action alert about S.978, or as it has become known: the 10 Strikes bill. Within days, hundreds of youtube users began to post their own videos in opposition to the bill. It was a veritable youtube mass-protest.

Sony has announced the bad news: hackers have your personal data, and they may have your credit card information as well. The real danger is that, with the information that we know has been taken, hackers with malicious intent could use social engineering to pose as Sony and gain the trust of consumers to gather more information.

Just today my credit card was cut off by my bank because of two purchases outside of my home state. The same card i used on the psn. I guess the truth will come out soon enough that info was stolen and currently being used. A third purchase was attempted after the card was turned off, all in the Raliegh N.C. area.
