Level Up Video Games, located in the Tucson Foothills Mall, just announced the opening of a “History of Gaming” museum featuring all sorts of consoles, handhelds, and peripherals. While I’m not a big console fan, I am curious to see what they have cooked up.

Visiting the Level Up Video Games website doesn’t tell me a whole lot about the business or the museum other than they buy, sell, trade, and play console-based video games. Below is the official press release on the “History of Gaming” museum:

Tucson, Arizona – July 21, 2010 – Level Up Video Games museum features the “History of Gaming”. The museum display includes consoles, handhelds and interesting peripherals that have been sold in America over more than 3 decades. Customers can come and view the display and reminisce on all the interesting artifacts that have helped develop gaming as we know it today.

Level Up Video Games is an independent locally owned video game store that recently opened its doors at the Foothills Mall, offering a unique experience into all things video games. Jerry Abreu the owner has created a truly original game store. Level Up Video Games offers a wide variety of video game apparel, collectibles, gamer gear, toys and much more.

Store Hours: Open Mon-Sat 10am-9pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.

Probably no love for PC gamers. But it should be interesting to see what they have put together.

What do you think?

Will you visit the History of Gaming museum?

Do you like museums?
