[...] So, how about you guys? Anyone out there try to figure out what would really make you happy and make a resolution last week? If so, how did you do? Share your progress in the comments section. If you didn’t do anything, why not start this week? We’re sticking with the resolution for one more week and then we’ll move onto the next step. I just want to give new readers a chance to get involved before we move onto the second step of the project. To learn about the resolution step, as well as what the heck the Happiness Project is, read last week’s post, here . [...]

You dont' have to do two things, you can do one ... you just have to be back here next Wednesday to let us know how you did on the resolution. And the goal is doing things that will increase your happiness, so make sure you keep track of how happy you feel after these things are done! :-)

ok-two things? One-clean out the bedroom closets. They are overwhelmingly overwhelming! Two - call someone at least every other day. I, too, need to get out more.

There was actually a study done - I'll try to find the link and send it out - that children are born either optimistic or pessimistic and then life makes them more of what they are. So your natural happiness might be just that, natural. Or, you could work really hard on it to stay positive and happy. I do agree there is guilt about being happy. It is like we all think we have to be miserable :-) Thanks for jumping in.

Happiness project here I come! Ok... here it goes... Every day this week I will spend 20 minutes outside (I'm sorry, I know I stole that right from the examples, but I thought I'd start out small. Don't want to get too happy too fast :) might get whiplash)! I'm glad we now have a group together that will support the positive and optomistics in the world

I love this idea too.
People actually give me a hard time because I'm so happy all the time. I believe that some folks have guilt related issues about being happy, like it's a selfish thing.
I do believe happiness and a positive attitude are contagious.
