About Me and This Blog

I'm a former journalist turned academic advisor at the University of Arizona by way of a very short stint teaching high school. I covered education and religion as a reporter, and opined on parenting, the Catholic Church and education as a columnist. I've won a handful of awards along the way, including the Arizona Press Club's Best News Blog in 2009, and helped a few people. I'm interested in faith in general and the Catholic Church in particular, hence the name of the blog. The "and more" allows for a wide range of chit-chat on other subjects, including parenting, fitness, morality/ethics, athletics and politics.
