What on Earth is NeuroModulation?

NeuroModulation Technique (NMT)

NeuroModulation Technique (NMT)

Although it sounds like what might happen to Captain Kirk just before Scotty beams him up, its actually a very cool energy healing modality!

Since I’ve been leading Tucson Energy Healers Group now for over 2 years, NeuroModulation Technique, the Feinberg Method, (NMT), is one of my favorite alternative healing modalities to date.  I really like the aggressive approach of NMT.  I’m of the opinion that if an alternative healing method is worth pursuing, then it should get right down to the business of healing, with some serious intention and focus.  And that’s just what NMT does.

I asked my good friend Kent Schaefer to send me some detailed information about NMT and he sent me the interesting article that follows.  Also, Kent has a workshop coming up: Chronic Pain Relief with NMT.  I will put his contact information at the end of this post if you would like to get more information.  Enjoy:

NeuroModulation Technique the Feinberg Method (NMT)
A Unique form of Informational Healing

NMT: A Unique, Powerful, and Scientific Protocol to Promote Healing
The mind-body was created with and amazing intelligence that allows it to produce a fully formed human being from a single cell and to develop into trillions of body cells communicating perfectly to heal the body and maintain vitality throughout it’s lifespan. When that communication fails, the NMT system is a unique and powerful tool by which the practitioner enters into a carefully developed therapeutic dialog with the patients mind-body. NMT uses special routines of questions and corrective training statements that are organized into therapeutic templates known as NMT clinical pathways. Each of these 80 NMT clinical pathways is a window into a specific area of body function. Because the NMT system is exceptionally thorough, there are NMT clinical pathways available to address just about every type of health problem. The NMT practitioner guides the patient through an NMT session by selecting the NMT clinical pathways to be used according to the priority the mind body recognizes to be most effective.

The Development and Focus of NMT

Neuromodulation Technique—The Feinberg Method (NMT) was developed by Dr. Leslie S. Feinberg, D.C. in 2002. NMT has garnered a reputation as highly effective, yet especially safe form of alternative healthcare. Many thousands of people from all over the world have turned to NMT for relief of allergies, and autoimmune illnesses such as arthritis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, lupus, myositis, scleroderma, inflammatory and other acute and chronic conditions. Much of the focus of the NMT system is to optimize the immune system response to microorganisms that cause disease and for the encouragement of the beneficial flora required for health of the digestive and respiratory tracts and skin. Highly sensitive energetic NMT testing for body awareness and sub-clinical pathogens may signal their presence before they are able to show up on standard lab tests. NMT is also a powerful tool to address longstanding emotional and psychological complaints and phobias. Chronic pain patients often experience a reduction or even complete elimination of their pain within minutes of an NMT treatment. Many patients have found successful resolution of their health issues with NMT when conventional medical care and other types of “complementary” or “alternative” therapies have proven ineffective.  For the rest of this article, click here to go to Kent’s blog: http://bit.ly/Ldeux

Arolo Tifar – The Active Part of Reiki

Arolo Tifar - Atlantian Healing

Arolo Tifar - Atlantean Healing

Friday I had the privilege of having a Arolo Tifar session with Pamela Field, the only practitioner of this energy healing modality in the United States!

Pamela Field lived in Barcelona ( Spain ) for the last ten years. She received her training as an Arolo Tifar Master from Eckard Strohm, the founder of the method. While living in Spain she trained hundreds of Reiki practitioners in Arolo Tifar. She also assisted hundreds of individuals (in private sessions) to restore health and balance to their lives.  She is the only certified practitioner and trainer of this unique healing method in the United States and we are lucky to have her here in Tucson!  I got to know Pamela when she attended my EFT practice group, and she is a beautiful person with a very clear energy.

Arolo Tifar is considered the active part of Rieki since it involves an analysis of the root cause of an illness, and also includes an energetic treatment much like Reiki (see prior post on Reiki).

Arolo Tifar views the body in five levels: physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual.  As I mentioned it consists of an analysis and energetic treatment. The analysis will indicate the field in which the root cause of an illness is located, to treat it directly. This is important because symptoms are always visible, but the root (actual) cause is generally not. It is difficult to heal an illness while treating only the symptoms.  I am drawn to “aggressive” healing modalities with a very direct treatment and intention to heal, and Arolo Tifar fits the bill.

Arolo Tifar Session

My experience in the session was one of deep relaxation and I could feel energies clearing.  According to Pamela, Arolo Tifar is a very gentle process and most people don’t feel an immediate energy shift, but they may feel shifts in the days following the session.  However I was able to feel subtle shifts in my energy during the session.  The actual session is done in silence, but immediatly after, Pamela shares with you her impressions during the healing including the root cause of an issue and how it was cleared.

The most noticible effect of the healing, for me, was that of tiredness for a few days after.  I didn’t feel fatigued at all, and I knew that I was processing the effects of the healing, so I allowed the continued feeling of deep relaxation which only lasted a short while.  Everyone experiences energy work differently, so you may or may not feel the same thing.

Arolo Tifar is expanding rapidly throughout Europe . Pamela arrived to Tucson in May 2009.  She is very excited to present this healing method to individuals and energy workers here in Tucson .  Pamela will be teaching Level 1 Arolo Tifar on Oct. 24-25 here in Tucson.  She is also available for individual sessions.  You can learn more by visiting her website www.arolotifar.com.

Reiki - Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy

Reiki - Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique based on the idea that there is “life force energy” that flows through us and gives us life.  If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy!  It’s that simple!  The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”  Pretty cool, huh?

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness.

Now, the question is, how can we use it to raise our energy, or help to raise someone else’s energy?

Basically, the giver holds their hands above the receiver’s body and directs life force energy into their body and energy field for the purpose of healing and well-being.  It is important to understand that the practitioner is a conduit for the energy and that the healing happens through them, and not by them.

First, let me say that I have had a few Reiki treatments and I have found that, like all energy healing methods, the abilities and the intention of the practitioner make a huge difference.  I’ve even had a treatment from an experienced Reiki Master and felt very little, and conversely, I’ve had a treatment from a total novice and I could feel the heat radiating right off of her hands.  Even when she was behind me I could feel where she was holding her hands because I felt the heat .  It is a very relaxing experience and I highly recommend that you try it!

**** Check the end of this post for information on Reiki Circles in Tucson ****

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not! Because Reiki comes from God (a higher being or the universe, depending on your personal beliefs) many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

Now this part is cool:

Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

The ideals:

The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth

**** Where can you experience Reiki for yourself? ****

There are two major Reiki circles in Tucson that are open to the public:

1-      Unity Reiki is the second Friday of each month from 7 to 0pm.  The address is 3617 N. Camino Blanco, Tucson, AZ 85718.  There is a suggested donation of $5.  This wonderful loving circle is in its 11th year with an attendance of 40 to 70 people.  The mix is usually about half of the attendees being new to Reiki.  It is hosted by Mark and Jo’Anne Ruhl.  There is a brief description of Reiki followed by a short meditation followed by 2 to 3 15 minute Reiki sessions in chairs.

2-      Universal Healers circle is usually on the 4th Friday from 7 to 9pm at TMC 5301 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.  This circle recently moved from the Church of Tamara due the growth in attendance.  Denise Singerline hosts with support from the IONS committee.  There are tables and chairs available for this circle.

“Reiki is being included as a complimentary wellness modality in some mainstream health care facilities”, comments J. Mike Forrest, Usui Reiki  Master Teacher and program volunteer.
