Arolo Tifar - Atlantian Healing

Arolo Tifar - Atlantean Healing

Friday I had the privilege of having a Arolo Tifar session with Pamela Field, the only practitioner of this energy healing modality in the United States!

Pamela Field lived in Barcelona ( Spain ) for the last ten years. She received her training as an Arolo Tifar Master from Eckard Strohm, the founder of the method. While living in Spain she trained hundreds of Reiki practitioners in Arolo Tifar. She also assisted hundreds of individuals (in private sessions) to restore health and balance to their lives.  She is the only certified practitioner and trainer of this unique healing method in the United States and we are lucky to have her here in Tucson!  I got to know Pamela when she attended my EFT practice group, and she is a beautiful person with a very clear energy.

Arolo Tifar is considered the active part of Rieki since it involves an analysis of the root cause of an illness, and also includes an energetic treatment much like Reiki (see prior post on Reiki).

Arolo Tifar views the body in five levels: physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual.  As I mentioned it consists of an analysis and energetic treatment. The analysis will indicate the field in which the root cause of an illness is located, to treat it directly. This is important because symptoms are always visible, but the root (actual) cause is generally not. It is difficult to heal an illness while treating only the symptoms.  I am drawn to “aggressive” healing modalities with a very direct treatment and intention to heal, and Arolo Tifar fits the bill.

My experience in the session was one of deep relaxation and I could feel energies clearing.  According to Pamela, Arolo Tifar is a very gentle process and most people don’t feel an immediate energy shift, but they may feel shifts in the days following the session.  However I was able to feel subtle shifts in my energy during the session.  The actual session is done in silence, but immediatly after, Pamela shares with you her impressions during the healing including the root cause of an issue and how it was cleared.

The most noticible effect of the healing, for me, was that of tiredness for a few days after.  I didn’t feel fatigued at all, and I knew that I was processing the effects of the healing, so I allowed the continued feeling of deep relaxation which only lasted a short while.  Everyone experiences energy work differently, so you may or may not feel the same thing.

Arolo Tifar is expanding rapidly throughout Europe . Pamela arrived to Tucson in May 2009.  She is very excited to present this healing method to individuals and energy workers here in Tucson .  Pamela will be teaching Level 1 Arolo Tifar on Oct. 24-25 here in Tucson.  She is also available for individual sessions.  You can learn more by visiting her website www.arolotifar.com.

Reiki - Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy

Reiki - Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique based on the idea that there is “life force energy” that flows through us and gives us life.  If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy!  It’s that simple!  The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”  Pretty cool, huh?

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness.

Now, the question is, how can we use it to raise our energy, or help to raise someone else’s energy?

Basically, the giver holds their hands above the receiver’s body and directs life force energy into their body and energy field for the purpose of healing and well-being.  It is important to understand that the practitioner is a conduit for the energy and that the healing happens through them, and not by them.

First, let me say that I have had a few Reiki treatments and I have found that, like all energy healing methods, the abilities and the intention of the practitioner make a huge difference.  I’ve even had a treatment from an experienced Reiki Master and felt very little, and conversely, I’ve had a treatment from a total novice and I could feel the heat radiating right off of her hands.  Even when she was behind me I could feel where she was holding her hands because I felt the heat .  It is a very relaxing experience and I highly recommend that you try it!

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not! Because Reiki comes from God (a higher being or the universe, depending on your personal beliefs) many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

Now this part is cool:

Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

The ideals:

The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth

There are two major Reiki circles in Tucson that are open to the public:

1-      Unity Reiki is the second Friday of each month from 7 to 0pm.  The address is 3617 N. Camino Blanco, Tucson, AZ 85718.  There is a suggested donation of $5.  This wonderful loving circle is in its 11th year with an attendance of 40 to 70 people.  The mix is usually about half of the attendees being new to Reiki.  It is hosted by Mark and Jo’Anne Ruhl.  There is a brief description of Reiki followed by a short meditation followed by 2 to 3 15 minute Reiki sessions in chairs.

2-      Universal Healers circle is usually on the 4th Friday from 7 to 9pm at TMC 5301 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.  This circle recently moved from the Church of Tamara due the growth in attendance.  Denise Singerline hosts with support from the IONS committee.  There are tables and chairs available for this circle.

“Reiki is being included as a complimentary wellness modality in some mainstream health care facilities”, comments J. Mike Forrest, Usui Reiki  Master Teacher and program volunteer.

Harmonic Medicine

Sound can heal

Did you know that even the sound of your own voice can heal you?  We are vibrational beings and we respond to sound vibrations.  Our bodies as well as our bio-energy field are affected by all sorts of sounds and vibrations.  When I first learned about sound healing I decided to do an experiment with sound:

I already knew how powerful our minds are, so I thought that I would see what would happen if I just thought of a sound; to see what reaction I would have in my body.  So I imagined a sound in my mind, an even tone, let’s say middle C, and I began mentally humming this note.

Then I imagined the sound getting higher and higher, going up the musical scale.  I continued “hearing” the sound getting higher and higher, as high as I could fathom.  Then when I couldn’t imagine it going any higher, I took it even higher still and just let it go higher and higher and higher, to a tone that only dogs would be able to hear!  The sound got so high in my mind, I almost couldn’t stand it, and then, something happened…..my ears popped!  That’s right, my ears actually popped just from thinking about sound getting higher and higher.  I also noticed that my energy had gone way up.  It was pretty cool – you should try it!  I’ve also found that by imagining a sound going lower and lower, just like the example above, is a great way to ground yourself.

Now skeptics will say “it’s just in your head”, and they’re right!  It is in my head, that’s the point.  After all, energy follows thought – but I digress.  I’ll save that for another post – let’s get back to sound healing….

Sound has been used for healing throughout history in many different cultures and religious practices – just think of drumming, chanting, mantras, singing, bells and gongs.  And think about how beautiful music makes you feel – relaxed, calm, and serene?

Sound healing practitioners use sound along with intention to facilitate healing.  Some use tuning forks, bells, gongs, music, their voice, crystal bowls, and golden bowls like those used by Tibetan monks.  Anything that creates a harmonic vibration can be used to heal.
