No Southern Arizona Teams qualified due to Salpointe’s suspension for a year.

5A II November 13 at 7 pm

There were ties in power rankings but they do not directly involve Southern Arizona teams.

5 seed Sunnyside hosts 12 Horizon but cannot host round two because they fell too far in the rankings after losing to Salpointe unless the 4 seed loses.

11 Ironwood Ridge travels to 6 Desert Mountain after a bad start to their year.

CDO keeps the number one seed and hosts 16 McClintock

Cienega gets a 4 seed and hosts 13 Nogales – Cienega and CDO cannot meet in the championship game because they are on the same side of the bracket but Cienega climbed high enough that they can host the first two rounds.

Sabino falls to a 7 seed and will host Kellis. If they win they could play at 2 seed Catus Shadows. The lost to CDO was high stakes.

15 Sahuaro travels to Cactus Shadows.

There was a tie for #4 between Santa Rita and Williams Field.

Tie breaker #3 was used: “Better conference winning percentage.” Williams Field is #4, Santa Rita is #5.

Tie for #16 between Catalina and Seton Catholic.

Tie breaker #3 was also used. Catalina is #16, Seton Catholic does not make the state tournament.

Catalina wonn the 16 seed via tie breaker but will have to travel to top seed Mingus.

Santa Rita gets a 5 seed and will host 12 Notre Dame.

Amphi gets a 13 seed and will travel to Williams Field who won the 4 seed from Santa Rita.

3 seed Palo Verde hosts 14 Greenway.

10 seed Douglas travels to 7 seed Arcadia.
