Soccer playoffs continue. Plenty of matches set for today.

Only one match will be played in Tucson today with top seed Salpointe hosting 8 seed Mesquite at noon. All 1A to 4A II matches will be in Mesa’s Red Mountain Park.

In addition, the third round match between the boys from Amphitheater and Palo Verde will be played in Scottsdale on Wednesday (that’s right).

And, the fifth seeded girls from Mountain View will have to travel to Phoenix to play number 9 Desert Mountain (that’s right, again) on Wednesday also.

In fact, only the 4A I boys and girls matches will be played at Tucson High School for the semifinals and championships.

At any rate, the AIA should let the Amphitheater/Palo Verde match take place in Tucson.
