The Salpointe girls beat the top seeded Xavier 5-2 to take the 5A-I Team state championship. Ironwood Ridge boys finish in 2nd place with a loss to Chaparral.

The CDO boys upset Sabino in 4A-I action and Nogales does the same to Saguaro.

There will be a playoff on Thursday, April 29, to determine the 4 Seed in 1A boys team competition.

Gilbert Christian will play Tanque Verde at 2:30 p.m. The winner will play Verde Valley at 5:00 p.m. The winner of that game will be the 4 seed. Duncan withdrew from the four team playoff.
