USA Baseball 16U Championships West

The 520 Elite took their first pool game Saturday morning 6-0 over the Austin Wings. They play Team Anderson Sunday morning at 8 am.

According to USA Baseball, the 16U Championships helps the organization identify players for the National Team. The event is held in two regions – East (Florida) and West (Arizona) – and 72 teams compete in each region. USA Baseball representatives and scouts select the top players from each region and from there the National Team is chosen.
