USA Track & Field Junior Olympics: Salpointe star Alyssa Thompson takes 7th in the Heptathlon

Alyssa Thompson took 5th in the High Jump portion of the Heptathlon at the USATF Junior Olympics. Here she is from an attempt from the Willie Williams invitational in March.
Sacramento: July 27-August 1
Alyssa Thompson climbed from 11th to seventh in the Finals of the Heptathlon thanks to her third place score in the Long Jump portion of the event.
Competition for all athletes continues Thursday with everything from 500 meters to the 4 x 400 relay to Field events.
