Brandon Bean Soccer Tournament

The schedule for the Brandon Bean Tournament is all set. The soccer tournament is for both boys and girls and is named in memory of Brandon Bean, who was an outstanding goalkeeper at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson.

Brandon died of a brain hemorrhage after a collision at a soccer scrimmage on November 7, 1992. In his memory, the Brandon Bean award goes to the tournament’s outstanding goalkeeper.

Tragically, another exceptional soccer player, Laura Kea, died in an auto accident on her way to a soccer tournament in Phoenix on February 19, 1995. In her memory, an award is given to the tournament’s outstanding field player.
