It looks like the kids from Empire High School will have some more company at Benedictine College in Kansas.

Buena running back Xavier Cooper has also signed to play at Benedictine. Cooper was one of my selections for all 5A and he had the grades to go with his rushing yards and touchdowns – he graduated early and is already on campus.

According to published reports, Cooper commuted from Tucson to Sierra Vista for school because his family moved before his senior year.

He is sure to be a success with that kind of commitment in the classroom and to his school.

Other Colts Signing:

RB/DB Alex Brown and SS Darius Kelly will be playing at Ellsworth College in Iowa. Former Willcox softball player Tomi Mooney IronCloud is finishing up her eligibility there as is former Sunnyside wrestler Steve Moreno.

Kicker Jeremy Reynolds has committed to Arizona Western College in Yuma on a full scholarship.

Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma has offered LB/SS Jalen Hampton a scholarship and he has verbally committed to attend. Former Pima CC linebacker Kyle Barnett just finished his senior season at Bacone.

Former Colts:

Devin Veal (Arizona), Jamal Womble (Northern Illinois), Jake Muasau (Georgia State), Louie Muasau (Georgia State), Joe Arnason (Eastern Kentucky), Laurence Gibson (Virginia Tech), DeAndre Little (UTEP) and Deche Milburn (Texas State).

Trey Brown (Eastern Arizona), Brandon Porter (Eastern Arizona), Robert Ellis (Eastern Arizona), Daniel Foster (Jamestown College in North Dakota), Ronell Quinones (Luther College) and JT May (Pacific University).

Jeremy Tuttle:

The major prize would have to be Tuttle who recently signed to throw with the LSU track and field team.

Tuttle had offers from Arizona, Colorado State, Tennessee and LSU. The multi-state champion received a full-ride to attend the number two ranked program in the country.
