Miami softball head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly commented Wednesday on her signing of five players last Wednesday, including Southern Arizona standouts Morgan McKeever of Sahuaro and Kaitlin Wilson of Buena.
“I would characterize Morgan as the quiet thunder, she finds a way to get it done,” said Schoenly. “She is versatile, consistent and fundamentally sound at so many positions and will help us compete at a higher level.”
McKeever is a utility player who has played varsity for Sahuaro since she was a freshman.
“Kaitlin is a proven competitor at the highest level of ASA softball,” added Schoenly. “She shows command of a variety of pitches and we envision her challenging the opposing hitters throughout her career.
“We are very excited for these young ladies to join our family. All have passion for Miami and will bring athleticism and power. With many championships under their belts already, we look forward to them joining our Culture of Champions.”
