Lancers finish in 2nd place
by Andy Morales on Jan. 08, 2012, under SportsSalpointe played without the services of freshman Jaylyn Juan (injury, 6-8 weeks) Saturday night and the Lancers quickly fell behind Fairfax 15-3 after the first period and 33-12 at the half.
Stacy Davis (Pepperdine) scored 26 points to lead the Stampede and Talbott Denny scored 18 points for Salpointe. Fairfax went on to win the title of the PUSD tournament 57-41.
Salpointe won three games including big victories over Westview and Chavez.
Juan scored to 25 points to lead his “East” squad to a 107-93 win over the “West” at the Phenom 150 Camp (incoming 9th graders) in San Diego last summer.
