Novak to Dakota State
by Andy Morales on Feb. 14, 2012, under SportsTanque Verde quarterback/field goal kicker David Novak signed a letter of intent to play football at Dakota State University. Novak’s strong leg made him Tanque Verde’s first scholarship football player.
Dakota State University is located in Madison, South Dakota and the coaching staff all have previous experience coaching in Arizona high schools. There are currently 18 players from Arizona on the Trojan roster.
Tanque Verde moved up from 8-man football to 11-man this past year and Novak grew up in Germany, never playing football until he attended high school.
