The Dorado Classic begins Thursday morning at Sports Park. Canyon del Oro has a rich history of sending players to Division-I colleges and they will soon be able to add another name to their outfield fence.

Sophomore catcher Sammy Nettling has decided to attend Northwestern. Her much-anticipated decision came down to ASU, Oregon, Arizona and Northwestern. It was a difficult decision to be sure, but Nettling is 2nd in her class at CDO and I’m sure she made the right decision.

I don’t usually post verbal commitments because they are not official but this one deserved to be mentioned due to the degree of talent involved.
