16 teams. Top three from each section gets an automatic bid. Remaining seven teams from power points. Teams in the top 16 should not feel safe because teams such as the Alhambra boys are in the top three of their section but are ranked 15th in the whole division.

Even if a team like that falls out of the top 16 – as long as they are in the top three of their section – they get to go to the playoffs.

Oddly, Sabino is in a different section that then rest of the teams from Southern Arizona.

Team brackets start Tuesday, April 24 for the boys and Wednesday, April 25 for the girls with all team finals taking place on May 5.
