520 Elite Baseball team makes it to semifinals

The 520 Elite 18U baseball team from Tucson lost to the AZ Dodgers 5-4 in eight innings in the semifinals of the 4 Corners Baseball Classic in Peoria last week.

The roster included:

Michael Hoard 1B (Salpointe)
Alex Robles 2b, P (Tucson)
Jake Matthews SS (Ironwood Ridge)
Trey Stine 3B (Ironwood Ridge)
Sebastian Zawada 3B, DH (Catalina Foothills)
Devin Harrison LF (Ironwood Ridge)
Luis Gonzalez CF, P (Catalina Foothills)
Tyler Alev RF (Catalina Foothills)
Travis Chavez P (Ironwood Ridge)
Manny Lopez P (Catalina Foothills)
Frankie Silva IF,OF (Sahuaro)
Austin Moore P, DH (Mountain View)
Jake Repavich P (Cienega)
Isaac Federico, OF (Tucson)

Matthews led the team going 11 for 16 for the entire tournament. In the semifinal game, Matthews went 2-4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Gonzales added a homerun.
