East Valley Shootout

October 19-20: Bear Creek

Canyon del Oro won the East Valley Shoot Out at the Bear Creek Golf Course in Chandler after posting a team score of 9-under par (419). Hamilton started the second day three shots behind The Dorados and fired a team score of 5-under par on day two, but CDO shot 7-under to secure the tournament win.

On the individual side, CDO senior Eric Wu placed third with a score of 4-under par (36, 67 = 103). Sophomore Chris Meyers took fourth after a four-way scorecard playoff after shooting 2-under par (35, 70=105) with Daniel Rowland firing the same score but finishing tied for sixth.

Frankie Wu was 1-under par (36, 70 =106) for a tie for eighth. CDO played five team members and three extra players. According to coach John Farbarik, this was the lowest tournament score relative to par in his 7-year coaching tenure at CDO and, most likely, in CDO history.
