Borendame to swim for Arizona

Ironwood Ridge tennis standouts Sara Brown and Marissa Baca will sign their college letters of intent on Wednesday morning, November 14 at the school.

Also signing that morning will be swim champion Sara Borendame.

Borendame is on track to be the Southern Arizona girls swimmer of the year before moving on to her choice of the University of Arizona.

Brown will sign her letter of intent with Boise State. She was a member of the 2012 state champion tennis team was also a state champion doubles player.

Baca will sign her letter of intent with Northern Colorado. Baca teamed up with Brown to win a state doubles championship and was a member of the team championship.

Borendame was the only individual champion from swimming this fall from Southern Arizona (Breaststroke). She is a national power and has joined Catalina Foothills champion Jason Alentado (Butterfly) in staying home to swim for the Wildcats.
