Signing day updates
by Andy Morales on Nov. 14, 2012, under SportsMountain View third baseman/pitcher Graham Spraker signed with Quincy University Wednesday afternoon.
Spraker was an All-State Honorable mention, 3rd team All-Southern Arizona, 1st Team Division I selection last year. Quincy University is located northwest of St. Louis and the team is coached by former Minnesota Twin Josh Rabe.
“We cannot be more excited to have Graham and his family joining the “Hawk” family, said Rabe via news release.
“Graham was a student athlete that we have tracked for over a year now. First and foremost, he is a great student, which makes him a highly sought after student athlete. Graham has a gifted arm, which could lead to him being drafted as a pitcher in three years. He has a chance to make an immediate impact on our pitching staff. He is also going to get a chance to play a position, as he loves to hit as well. It speaks volumes about his athleticism, that we are going to let him try to play both. Great kid, great family, cannot wait to finally coach him!!!”
