Tucson High grad Christine Clark joined Harvard’s 1,000-point club in just her 71st career game. Her scoring pace to a 1,000 was only surpassed by Reka Cserny (2005). Cserny reached 1,000 in her 60th career appearance at Harvard.
Clark became the 18th member of Harvard’s 1,000-point club after she scored 19 points Wednesday night to help Harvard beat Massachusetts 85-59.
Clark, a junior, has started all 13 games this year and is leading the team with 16.2 points per game. She was named to the Ivy League all-rookie team as a freshman (started every game as a freshman) and was named First Team All-Ivy League as a sophomore.
Clark was named the Tucsoncitizen.com Student-Athlete of the Year in 2010.
