Soccer brackets to be released live Friday at 2 pm

AIA will host a soccer bracket show Friday at 2 p.m. The first rounds of the state playoffs will be held Tuesday, January 29 for the girls and the boys will start Wednesday, January 30. The top four seeds will host.

For the boys, it looks like Rincon may have secured a Division I spot with their 3-1 victory over Sahuaro and Desert View may have missed out.

For D-II, Salpointe should be hosting a first round match and CDO and Nogales may be in while it looks like Catalina Foothills may be out due to their loss to Sabino last week.

Douglas should host a D-III match and Palo Verde and Rio Rico look to be in while Thatcher and Amphitheater are fighting for the last spot.

For the girls, Mountain View and Buena are in the D-I playoffs, although Buena is on the edge.

A lot of D-II teams from Southern Arizona are in. Catalina Foothills and Sahuaro should host. Ironwood Ridge, Sahuarita, Sabino and Marana also look to be in.

Palo Verde should host a D-III match, Catalina, Pusch Ridge and Safford are most likely in while Empire may have just missed a spot.
