Threatening a reporter is never a good ideaby Andy Morales on Feb. 20, 2013, under Sports
I have had a few angry emails and messages in the four years I have done this high school site. The one that sticks out the most was a mom who was mad that I didn’t predict her son would be a top tennis player. That was just bizarre.
But, I have never been threatened with harm like I was Wednesday night like this: “I’m a mad uncle can’t wait to see u in person!!”
Well, the athletic director and the softball coach of this school have been notified and I hope they are able to bring common sense to this “uncle” and anyone connected with him, unless they want a day in court.
The list of “Top Returners” for softball means just that – the top returners. I fail to see how that can be taken as the top players for this year – the season hasn’t even started yet.
And, what’s the big deal anyway? I think I have over 60 names listed. Find me another site, newspaper, blog, graffiti or anything that will list more than nine or 10!
Those of you who are on Facebook with me know of which high school I am talking about so I will leave it at that. The Dorado Classic at Sports Park just might have some added excitement for your dollar this weekend!
My father told me once that the media always has the last word. Threatening a reporter is never a good idea.
