CDO’s Pink Dorados team will be holding two events this week on Thursday and Friday in support of their ongoing Fight Against Breast Cancer.
Thursday night will be a fundraiser in support of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to be held this Sunday, March 17:
WHAT: Coxco Dairy Queen Hosts “Pink Dorados Night”
WHEN: Thursday, March 14 from 5-9 pm.
WHERE: Coxco Dairy Queen at 5960 N Oracle Rd (SE Corner of Oracle/Rudasill)
Coxco Dairy Queen will donate a portion of ALL sales from 5-9 PM in support of the Pink Dorados. Race for the Cure Registration Materials will be available on-site for the 15th Annual Southern Arizona Race for the Cure to be held on the Campus of the UofA Sunday March 17.
Friday will be a Breast Caner Awareness Game against visiting Vista Grande:
WHAT: CDO Softball Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game
WHEN: Friday, March 15 at 4 pm
WHERE: CDO Softball Complex 25 W Calle Concordia (Far NW End of Campus)
8-Time state champion CDO softball team will wear pink accents and use the game to promote CDO’s Pink Dorados Team and the Southern Arizona Race for the Cure.
Breast Cancer Awareness materials will be handed out to players from both teams. Breast Cancer Survivor Liz Spector will throw out the first pitch and the music and trivia games between innings will be tailored to the Breast Cancer Awareness theme. Plenty of prizes will be available and admission is FREE.
The Pink Dorados won the High School Team Challenge last year with 131 members taking part and they were invited to the “Field of Dreams” area with over $3,000 raised.
The Race for the Cure will take place at the University of Arizona on Sunday morning:
7 am: 1-mile walk
8 am: 5K run/walk (competitive and non-competitive).
Parking is available free campus-wide and at all UA garages.
