This opinion is for the American Troops who served in Iraq and most military veterans know the lingo. The oped is not geared for those who are familiar with mid east foreign affairs (not your ordinary unlearned civilian). As you can see at the bottom of the oped, the writer is clearly speaking to those who have served and are serving in the military.
