The New Face of the GOP
This cartoon depicting Republican Nebraska Governor Heineman as a pro life hypocrite is on point. Talk about politicians who beat up on ‘girls’ — the Nebraska Governor takes the cake and makes the Democratic Ben Nelson look good.
Apparently the Governor of Nebraska thinks it is safe to pick on undocumented women who choose to keep their babies since he really does not have to worry about their votes in the immediate sense- and this seems to be the path Republicans are now willing to embrace. The Nebraska Gov is placing a safe bet going against those who don’t have a right to vote.
The new face of the Republican Party now consists of Kris Kobach (architect of voter suppression and anti-immigrant laws), FAIR, NumbersUSA, Russell Pearce, Joe Arpaio, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, Andrew Thomas, Tom Tancredo, Steve King, Lamar Smith and etc. Kris Kobach is the architect of anti-immigrant and anti-Latino legislation via FAIR. Kris Kobach is advising GOP Candidate Mitt Romney. FAIR began with the likes of John Tanton — a man who is on the record for stating he is anti-Catholic and has contributed to the Pioneer Fund. It’s no wonder Moderate Republicans are fleeing the Republican Party in droves due to unreasonable tea party extremism.
Latinos will not put their faith in anti-Latino immigrant legislators in 2012. I have money on it.
