Photo: Texans Urged To Use DOJ Arizona SB1070 Hotline for disparate treatment after DPS Related Immigration Arrestby Dee Dee Garcia Blase on Sep. 26, 2013, under Joaquin Luna DREAM Act, Legal Immigration Reform
We wrote about Texas Law Enforcement Officials Targeting Low Income Mexican-American Areas and Head Start Schools Leading to Immigrant Arrests that reminds Arizona residents of the immigrant related arrests carried out by the City of Phoenix Police Department and Sheriff Joe Arpaio. It is a widely known fact that the Phoenix police department is the arresting agency behind more deportations than Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s MCSO.
Texas residents and immigration activists were urged to contact the DOJ hotline phone number at 1-855-353-1010 [#1 for English #2 for Espanol] to report incidents of racial profiling. Or advised to send an email to SB1070@usdoj.gov to report disparate treatment and photos of where these multiple checkpoints are occurring.
Now more photos are surfacing as a FB alerting system was design to notify others of where these multiple check points are occurring.
According to Nina Hinojosa — living family member of Joaquin Luna Jr., law enforcement officials conducted a checkpoint near his home. Mr. Luna became the symbol of the psychological toll that being in the country illegally can take on young people.
The below photo was reported to us by Nina Hinojosa (Joaquin Luna Jr’s sister) with a caption below that essentially said DPS called immigration on 2 workers in an F350 truck and may God help their kids and wife.
“Hoy fue el peor dia de sus vidas
Para 2 trabajadores de la troca gris f350
Sus hijos y esposa se quedarán esperándolos
El DPS LE ABLO A MIGRACIÓN
las imágenes no mienten
Esto paso ase una hora en la calle Tom Gill en peñitas texas . Dios los ayudé”
