VoteVets: Senator Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin Wrong to Use Memorial Site as Political Propby Dee Dee Garcia Blase on Oct. 15, 2013, under Hispanic Latino Vote, Independent voters, veteran voters, Women Voters
I agree with the Chairman of VoteVets.org. As a veteran, I am especially disturbed with the Republican-led government shutdown Senator John McCain was against. Hundreds of people related to veterans have seen our military members hurt by this shutdown. It is an absolute shame for Senator Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin to use a Memorial site as a political prop.
Deedee Garcia -
The World War II Memorial is not a political prop.
As congressional negotiators worked through the weekend on a deal to re-open the entire government, Tea Party extremists — led by Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin — rallied at the memorial as speakers accused President Obama of being a Muslim and one onlooker waved a Confederate flag.
The good news is, we can do something about it.

We’re two weeks into the shutdown and 48-hours away from breaching the debt ceiling.
We’ll put your contribution to work immediately.
All the best,
