I would rather have 4 more years of Obama Care than 8 years of Romney Care

Monday, October 22nd, 2012

As an Arizona Independent registered voter, I would rather have 4 more years of Obama Care than 8 years of Romney Care.  Nobody knows what they are gonna get with Mitt Romney since he has reversed his position on just about every political issue imaginable.  We know what we are going to get with President Obama, and I just cannot trust a politician like Romney.  Mitt Romney refuses to be transparent with his tax returns yet wants Americans to trust him?  How can Americans trust him when nobody knows what his real convictions are?

How can Romney explain wanting to increase our war and defense budget by $2.1 trillion, yet not want to take care of our elderly and senior citizens here in our Homeland?  He would rather spend money bombing other countries while ignoring Homeland issues here relating to Americans?  Doesn’t make sense to spend money abroad and increasing war budgets, and Americans are tired of war.

Mitt Romney has reversed himself on all positions ranging from health care, immigration, abortion and pro life.

In fact, Mitt Romney’s own Republican cohort called him out on his own hypocrisy — see below:

The moment was, of course, the exchange between Rick Santorum and Romney when Santorum was aggressively challenging Romney about health care. Romney was going through his standard defense of his health-care plan, saying it was right for Massachusetts but not for other states. Santorum wasn’t buying it: “Think about what that means going up against Barack Obama … You are going to claim [about the Affordable Care Act], ‘Well, it doesn’t work and we should repeal.’ And he’s going to say, ‘Wait a minute, governor. You said it works well in Massachusetts.’ Folks—we can’t give this issue away in this election. It is about fundamental freedom … It’s going to be on your ballot as to whether there should be a government mandate here in Florida. According to Governor Romney, that’s OK.”

The New Yorker wrote about Mitt Romney’s reversals — indeed, Romney is making every attempt to be teflon on just about every issue ranging from abortion, immigration, health care, and jobs.

Mitt Romney can be a hard man to pin down. But there is one thing that he’s been clear about: if he becomes President, he will repeal Obamacare. That simple promise, more than any other that Romney has made, illuminates what is most at stake in this year’s election. The campaigns may spend most of their time talking about taxes and jobs. But health care is where the election’s outcome will have the most immediate and powerful impact on how Americans live.

Abolishing Obamacare would eliminate subsidies for people buying insurance and rescind regulations requiring insurance companies to guarantee coverage and benefits (for instance, to people with preëxisting conditions). Romney’s proposed alternative is to give individuals a tax break when they buy insurance and to push them toward high-deductible insurance plans, which he believes will make them more rigorous and price-conscious in choosing doctors and treatments. Romney also wants to reform Medicare by encouraging more competition among private insurers. The details are skimpy, but the core principle is that unleashing the power of the free market will bring down costs and raise quality.

Mitt Romney simply cannot be trusted and cannot identify with the average ordinary American.

I would rather have 4 more years of President Obama than to have 8 years of Mr. Multiple Choice Mitt Romney.

I perceive Romney as a crony capitalist who will hurt the middle class.

VOTEVETS.ORG: Tell Romney to stop restricting voting rights for over 900,000 Ohio veterans

Monday, October 8th, 2012

I’m an independent registered voter and a veteran of the US Armed Forces and served under President George Bush Sr., and President Clinton. I do not support Mitt Romney because he dodged the draft. I encourage you to support Ohio Veterans who have a legitimate complaint against Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney is trying to restrict voting rights for over 900,000 Ohio veterans (along with every other Ohioan). We need to fight back, to protect our democracy against this horrific move.

Governor Romney,

We will not stand for your latest attempt to restrict voting rights for over 900,000 Ohio veterans. By supporting the Ohio law that shortens the early voting period, you are restricting the ability to vote of those who wore the uniform, and swore their lives to uphold our Constitution, including the right to vote.

The law you have come out in support of would restrict the incredibly successful early-voting program in the state, and specifically do away with voting the weekend before election day, when many working Ohioans chose to vote early. For veterans, many of whom have jobs they cannot leave during a weekday, weekend voting has proved crucial. In 2008, almost a third of Ohio voters used the early voting program, including veterans.

We’ve already seen what a non-early-voting Ohio looks like. We saw it in 2004, when in many polling places had extremely long lines, and polling places were shut down before everyone in line had a chance to vote. Non-early voting, quite literally, resulted in the disenfranchisement of voters, including veterans.

That you want to go back to those days is disgusting and wrong. If you truly want to show you are ready to be Commander in Chief, you can start by not trying to hurt the ability of veterans to vote.

Sincerely,

Sign it here:

Please pass this petition around to people who really care about Veterans and voter rights!

Mission Accomplished: Obama wanted to be serious in Debate 1 — not full of empty zingers

Thursday, October 4th, 2012

Our President showed wisdom and traits of a humble person. Good virtues to have in a leader.

For those of you who might be confused on last night’s debate….Obama clearly stated before the debate that his discussion would not be full of zingers.

“…Before the debate, Obama was trying to blunt Romney’s zings. “I know folks in the media are speculating already on who’s going to have the best zingers,” he said Sunday. “What I’m most concerned about is having a serious discussion.”

Obama’s mission was accomplished.  Last night we witnessed Mitt Romney perform what he performed against Sen. John McCain in 2008.  Back then, Romney was full of arrogance and zinger-filled rhetoric and it landed him nowhere.  This is a serious time — war time, and we are better off without Osama Bin Laden when we spent millions and millions of dollars looking for him in the wrong country.

Prepare to be wow’ed in the last 2 debates. Again, Obama intended not to come back with zingers, and stated he was not going to fire back with “zingers” since the media was hyping up Romney’s “zinger” filled rhetoric.

In my view, Obama was feeling out Romney in Debate 1. Now Obama knows how large Romney’s ego is and that will be Romney’s downfall.

Now be looking for the DCCC to roll out their videos addressing the AARP audience. Obama needed to extract Romney quotes from the debate with regard to health care and how medicare/medicaid is a program the elderly needs.  It was imperative for Obama to appear measured, and he did that.    Obama doesn’t need to appear arrogant in order to win.

Now you will start seeing the facts will roll out with regard to Romney’s reversals, flip flops, and lies — because facts are stubborn things. I was glad Obama reminded Romney of his support of ObamaCare.  Indeed Romney did support ObamaCare before he was against it.

I was also happy to see this story by a non-verbal expert — I happen to agree with his analysis.

2012 Presidential Debate No.1: Romney brings up old Tea Party talking point in Killing Big Bird / Sesame Street Children educational programs

Thursday, October 4th, 2012

Remember when the extremist Tea Party Senator DeMint was pushing for legislation to defund public broadcasting like PBS and NPR in March 2011?

It appears Mitt Romney is repeating Tea Party rhetoric when he stated yesterday he wanted to “kill Big Bird” via PBS.

So why is Mitt Romney repeating old tea party ideas that didn’t pass in 2011?  The Tea Party idea failed miserably, and the public made it very clear they like PBS and NPR.

Why would Romney want to cut programs that help poor families and children here at home in our Nation, but be hell bent in increasing defense spending by trillions of dollars?  There is something terribly sick and wrong about the money we waste bombing other countries instead of investing more of it here in our Homeland and helping poor families and American children.

Last night, Romney proved he is willing to continue being a zinger-filled war monger while promoting the slashing of programs that have helped American families [or the 99%].

Ironically enough, these same Tea Party people who ‘claim’ to be for small government are in support of millions and millions of dollars in foreign aid and war.  In addition to the cool Billion$ we give in foreign aid, we see Republican Mitt Romney wanting to spike our defense spending  by $2.1 trillion.  According to CNN Money, “….compared to the Pentagon’s current budget, Romney’s plan would lead to $2.1 trillion in additional spending over the next ten years, according to an analysis conducted by Travis Sharp, a budget expert at the Center for a New American Security.”

Now let’s imagine for a moment a situation where there are no starving children in our own country?

Why are people hurting in our own country?

Why do we see the hungry in our land of the free?

Shouldn’t we harness those taxpayer dollars, tell the foreign countries that we need to pause in giving them financial aid for at least a year until we get ourselves out of the rut?

What about the military defense budget?  Republicans love war even though they claim to be Christian compassionate types, but why can’t we slash the military defense budget for at least one year? Aircraft fuel and bombs are expensive so why can’t we put that on hold until we help ourselves out for a year?

War mongering doesn’t make sense right now.

The Tea Party Republicans and the war mongers who don’t want to help our elderly and our own here in the United States have blood on their teeth and would rather spend billions of dollars and trillions in war than to help our own.

In my view there should never be ONE child living in the United States that should go to bed hungry, and we should encourage children education programs.

Imagine for a moment the trillion$ we spend on war and foreign aid and applying that money to Americans for a year.

Do the math.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately 311,591,917  people living in the United States and with the trillions we spend in foreign aid combined with war, imagine a lot of relief that would be given to our own here in the United States.

Below are images that are blowing up social networks and the internet with regard to Romney’s Big Bird comment.

Que triste y que mal. Romney es un abusador.

Gary Johnson visits ASU and addresses liberty issues to Ron Paul / Libertarian / Libertarian-Republicans and students.

Friday, September 28th, 2012

Gary Johnson recently visited ASU and addressed several Liberty-related issues including drugs, immigration, war and liberty issues to Ron Paul/Libertarian/Libertarian-Republican and independent voters.

For those of you who don’t know who Gary Johnson is, he is the Libertarian candidate running for President.  You see, he used to be a Republican when he was the Governor of New Mexico.  The Republican Party snubbed Gary and now they “will get what they wished for and will pay tenfold…..” That said, I see Gary Johnson being a power house in very much the same way Ross Perot was in 1992.  Remember Ross Perot from 20 years ago and who was concerned about free trade, federal budget deficits, and the U.S. national debt? I see the same parallel and we can learn from history.  Gary Johnson will influence the direction as he does his best to frame political discourse. Like Ross Perot….Gary will indeed have an important effect on the 2012 election, and I am told he will be on the ballot in 47 states so far in our Union, and his campaign is working tirelessly to get him on the other 3.

The new House Congressional Poll ratings will hurt the Republican Party since in essence they became the “Party of Hell No” instead of being the party of solutions. More than ever we need to go back to working on solutions….shedding the partisanship.  We need to go back to the Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill days. We are hungry for that.  We can no longer support the Tea Party and those who chant Hell No to everything.  Americans want politicians to do what they are paid to do and work with each other across the political aisle for what is in the best interest of the United States.    More Tea Party supporters have proven to be divisive with their “Hell No” to everything approach and it is destroying the unity message we yearn for because a house divided will not stand.

Gary no longer has to worry about pissing off the Republican Party.  He is now truly a free spirit and a free agent and he can speak what he is convicted to speak on.  Nobody can shut up Gary now, and that makes him politically dangerous.  I like that, and  I applaud his bold move in leaving the GOP for good and switching to the Libertarian Party.  Here is a short clip taken by Nick Thomas on that day where Gary Johnson speaks to the media followed by Libertarian candidate Michael Kielsky (running against Maricopa County Counselor Bill Montgomery).  We also heard Barry Goldwater Jr. speak before Gary Johnson gave his keynote speech.

CAPTION: Gary Johnson Event at Arizona State University

I was very surprised to hear Gary Johnson say that President Obama received more “Liberty Torches” than Mitt Romney.  Now obviously, Gary Johnson received the most Liberty torches out of all the candidates, nonetheless….I was shocked.   According to Gary Johsnon, the ACLU came out with a report card last December 2011 where 24 Liberty torches was the perfect score.

Gary stated in this youtube video (fast forward to 5:45 minute mark) the following:

Mitt Romney received 0/24 Liberty torches.  (Zero)

Newt Gingrich had 4/24 Liberty torches

President Obama received 16/24 Liberty torches

Ron Paul received 18/24 Liberty torches

Gary Johnson had 21/24 Liberty torches

In looking at the above, you can see how President Obama is viewed as a moderate … and he is going to need to be viewed that way in order to garner independent voters like me or 80% of the moderate American population.  For those of you who could not attend the Gary Johnson event at Arizona State University, you can see his speech below:

Gary Johnson @ ASU Rally 9/26/12 Part 1
Gary Johnson @ ASU Rally 9/26/12 Part 2

We received so much support and love from the educated and open-minded voters at the Gary Johnson rally.  We love educated and open-minded people.

You see, when (Libertarian candidate) Andrea Glasscock Garcia ran against the extremist Arizona Senator Russell Pearce in 2010, I endorsed her when I used to be the President of Somos Republicans.  Like Gary Johnson, I left the Republican Party for good and I decided to be an independent registered voter here in Arizona.  I’m not the only one — (Independent) Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff also left the Republican Party and is running against the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

As an independent conservative, Mike Stauffer is Joe Arpaio’s most formidable opponent and it is time for Arpaio to go because the demographics are like this in Maricopa County:

36% registered R’s

35% registered I’s

29% registered D’s

1% registered L’s

So you can see why we are backing Mike Stauffer for Sheriff, because he attracts the fiscal conservatives, Libertarians, moderate Republicans and some Democratic voters, too.   Sheriff Joe Arpaio has wasted millions and millions of tax payer dollars.  He is no fiscal conservative, and has abused his authority. We want to thank Andrea Garcia for helping us secure a booth at this Gary Johnson event.  It was successful, fruitful and we were well received by the exact target market we need in order to beat Arpaio. Below are photos of the National Tequila Party Movement micro-targeting Libertarians / Libertarian-Republicans / Independents / Ron Paul revolutionists / Gary Johnson supporters and so on.

Slide 1 of 11.

Mike Stauffer for Sheriff is to Joe Arpaio what Gary Johnson is to Mitt Romney … a serious threat to the GOP.

Monday, September 17th, 2012

You heard it from me first….Mike Stauffer for Sheriff is to Joe Arpaio what Gary Johnson is to Mitt Romney — the Achilles heel.  And while there are not enough Libertarians that will choose a President in 2012, there are, however, enough Independent voters and moderate Republicans in Maricopa County to oust Arpaio.

Stauffer has found a way to reach out to independents and libertarian-leaning Republicans who care more about fiscal accountability.  Stauffer’s message?

The Sheriff’s office should not be partisan.

Here is how Mike Stauffer can oust the corrupt Arpaio:

Like Romney, Arpaio has tried to get Mike Stauffer off the ballots to no avail.  Have you noticed why Arpaio only talks about his weakest opponent via Paul Penzone the alleged wife beater?

Look how the Romney campaign and the GOP has tried to thwart Gary Johnson to no avail. The GOP is desperate because they know Gary Johnson is pro immigrant and a serious threat to Mitt’s campaign.

Victory in Pennsylvania

In an announcement sent out by the Johnson campaign’s Ryan Shattuck Friday evening, he quotes news articles detailing the Libertarians’ victory in the Keystone State. ‘Commonwealth Court judges sided with Johnson by a margin of 2-1 on Thursday,’ the statement read. It goes on to explain how establishment candidates like Democrats and Republicans must submit only 2,000 petition signatures to appear on the ballot.

At the same time, independent and opposition party candidates like Gary Johnson must submit 20,601 valid signatures. Showing just how much grassroots support there is in Pennsylvania for Johnson’s Presidential run, the campaign ended up submitting 49,000 ballot access signatures – two and a half times the number required and almost 25-times the number Republicans and Democrats each collected.

There’s no doubt that the Gary Johnson for President campaign is notching one victory after another this election season. The question remains however, is it enough to launch the Libertarian Presidential nominee into a voter-recognized three-man race for President? In reality, it won’t do the former two-term New Mexico Governor any good to be on the ballot nationwide if voters still don’t know who he is by election day.

Moderate Republicans and Independent Voters have an option with Independent Candidate as Sheriff Joe Arpaio is eerily silent on Mike Stauffer

Friday, September 14th, 2012

Have you noticed how the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio keeps mentioning his weakest candidate via Paul Penzone?  Joe Arpaio is eerily silent on Independent candidate Mike Stauffer for sheriff of Maricopa County.   We know it is because Arpaio is afraid to

West Kenyon, Mike Stauffer for Sheriff, Bob Worsley and DeeDee Garcia Blase in Mesa, Arizona, where Mike Stauffer spoke to approximately 350 people. Stauffer is doing a good job in Mesa and has good Mormon support thanks to Kenneth Smith. Bob Worsley was the Republican who ensured that the SB1070-loving Russell Pearce did not get re-elected as Pearce was seeking to gain power.

attack the Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.

You see, Arpaio knows that he CANNOT risk offending the Independent voters in Maricopa County.  He also knows the Democratic Party lost approximately 52,000 Democratic registered voters in 2011 in the State of Arizona, while the AZGOP gained a little and the Independent voters who are tired of partisanship surged in an enormous fashion.

From the Arizona Republic:

Voter frustration with political hyper-partisanship in Arizona may explain the swell over the past two years in registered independents — a change that some political insiders deem dangerous.

The biggest increase in independents occurred between June 2010 and July 2011, and the numbers have basically stayed flat over the past year.

During the two-year period, the number of registered Republicans jumped about 14,000.

But in just the past year, the number of registered Democrats dropped by more than 52,000, according to a Secretary of State’s Office recently released report…….

The growth in independents is a trend surging through the entire country.

By 2011, more than 2.5 million voters nationwide had left the Republican and Democrat parties since the 2008 elections, according to a USA Today analysis.

“Voters are getting kind of tired and disgusted with the tone of politics nowadays. It seems to them like it’s just yelling and screaming at each other,” said Frank Camacho, Arizona Democratic Party spokesman. “(Candidates) don’t focus on the issues, they say: ‘Vote for me because the other guy’s a jerk.’ ”

As voters become increasingly fed up with the tone of the two parties, they drop their affiliation and become independents, which means party primaries are increasingly dominated by the fringes, said Paul Johnson, chairman of the Open Elections/Open Government initiative, which is pushing for an open primary in the state.

Moderate Republicans and Independent Voters now have an option with Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer.  Indeed Sheriff Joe Arpaio is eerily silent on Mike Stauffer and now it’s time to go after his Achilles heel.

The name of the game is to remind the surging Independents who are fed up with partisanship that there is no room for partisanship in the Sheriff’s office.

In Maricopa County, there are 36% registered Republicans, 35% registered Independents, and only 29% registered Democratic voters.

We know in our State there are too many registered Republicans who will not vote for the candidate who has a (D) beside his name.  Most moderate Republicans that come from the John McCain supporting camp would rather vote for the Independent candidate via Mike Stauffer.  We have also witnessed registered Democratic voters who refuse to support Penzone due to his lack of leadership experience and qualifications — and certainly his domestic violence background doesn’t help him.

Mike Stauffer supporters are reaching out heavily to Independent voters and to Republican voters in Maricopa County.

Why?

Because that is where the money is at in this state so far.  We have a Republican-controlled legislature, and it is going to take a conservative-leaning Independent to oust Arpaio. That is where Independent candidate Mike Stauffer comes in.

Mike Stauffer is the squeaky clean boyscout looking candidate with an impeccable record with a Masters Degree and leadership experience.   This is precisely why we have discovered Arpaio mentioning only his weakest opponent via Penzone.   Arpaio cannot afford to attack the independent candidate and independent voters, and his campaign advisors are smart enough to know that.  In fact,  Arpaio doesn’t need one single Democratic voter to win, and the Stauffer people realize that, too.

The Problem with Sheriff Joe Arpaio is that he made the Maricopa County Sheriff Office a partisan one.

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

The Problem with Sheriff Joe Arpaio is that he has made the Maricopa County Sheriff Office a partisan one.  This is precisely why we are supporting the Independent Candidate via Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.

On the right, you have the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio wasting millions and millions of Arizona tax payer dollars and who has failed to investigate  sex crimes, domestic violence and child abuse cases. In fact, Arpaio wasn’t always an anti-immigrant hard-liner.  In 2005, he said, “Being illegal is not a serious crime.

On the left, you have a Democratic candidate via Paul Penzone who has a domestic violence record in his background who had his weapon taken away at one point and was declared as a credible threat to the Plaintiff (his wife).  Unfortunately, Penzone doesn’t have the experience when he managed only 6 employees in 2009 before he retired, and has very little field operations and detention experience as a sergeant. To Penzone’s credit, however, he excelled in media relations.

This brings us to the middle via Mike Stauffer, a former Republican who left the GOP for good and is now an Independent Candidate who was the first to put his hat in the race against Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  We know that Penzone will get the far left liberals supporting him, and we also know that the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio will get the Tea Party far right wing vote — but that leaves us to the 80% moderate voters.

We have noticed Arpaio has been eerily silent on Stauffer because he knows it is dangerous to attack the Independent candidate Mike Stauffer.  Mike Stauffer is the squeaky clean boyscout looking candidate with an impeccable record.   This is precisely why we have discovered Arpaio mentioning his weakest opponent via Penzone.   Arpaio cannot afford to attack the independent candidate and independent voters, and his campaign advisors are smart enough to know that.  In fact,  Arpaio doesn’t need one single Democratic voter to win, and the Stauffer people realize that, too.

Again, in Maricopa County, there are 36% registered Republicans, 35% registered Independents, and only 29% registered Democratic voters.  Arpaio is banking on (like he always has been) on the Republicans and the Independents to see him through because he knows Maricopa County is not yet ready for the Democratic candidate — the numbers are simply not there.

The Stauffer people have excellent support from the good Mormons of Mesa, Arizona, the Libertarians, the moderate Republicans and a healthy chunk of the former Democratic candidate John Rowan people.

Stauffer supporters will be turning up the heat on reaching out to the moderate Republicans  and Independents (where it will hurt Arpaio the most).  We want to reach out to those who believe Arpaio and Brewer gave Arizona a bad image and chased away  good development business out of the State of Arizona  with their restrictionism and protectionist ideas.

The focus now ought to turn to the 3% moderate Republican voters, and the 35% Independent voters in  Maricopa County.  This creates a win for Independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.  We know that the Democratic Candidate will not churn enough Republican support — and this is precisely where Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer comes in.  It’s time for the Independent candidate Mike Stauffer to deliver because he is not the one with a (D) beside his name.

Time for an Arizona Independent Voter Poll in MCSO race. Democratic leaning poll is flawed and old poll favored Mike Stauffer

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

The time has come for an Arizona Independent Voter Poll in the Maricopa County Sheriff Office race.  Democratic leaning poll is flawed (put on by liberal and former Union worker Randy Parraz and his partner via Chad Snow who make up Citizens for a Better Arizona).

Laurie Roberts a columnist of Arizona Republic a/k/a AZ CENTRAL writes:

The poll does greatly undercount independents while overcounting both Republicans (slightly)  and Democrats (by a lot). It shows, however, that Arpaio is vulnerable.

Ah yes, those crucial Independent voters.   Did you know that Maricopa County consists of

36% registered Republicans

35% registered Independents

29% registered Democrats?

It is true, which is why the Corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio is eerily silent when attacking the (Independent) Candidate via Mike Stauffer. Mike Stauffer’s campaign adviser via West Kenyon wrote:

It should be duly noted that several outspoken Democrats who had been focused on removing Arpaio from office have been side tracked over the past several months. Arpaio is no longer the focus, Stauffer is the focus. No longer are they trying to remove Arpaio from office but Stauffer from the ballot. Again, Arpaio could not be happier as he gets to sit back and be ignored. I’m sure Arpaio sees this as a first class gift from the Maricopa County Democratic Party and a sure potential strategy to win again.

Arpaio knows one thing for sure, If he mentions Stauffer’s name, he legitimizes Stauffer as the very qualified contender he is. As far as mentioning Penzone, as he does, is no big deal because there is nothing to legitimize. Arpaio knows full well a Democratic opponent doesn’t stand a chance and he is perfectly delighted to to have Penzone in the mix.

While there have been a few who have begged and pleaded for Stauffer to drop out recently and perhaps thinking they were on to something new, a little known fact is Arpaio beat you to it. Until now, no one knows that Arpaio made demands of the Scottsdale Police Department to get Mike out of the race nearly 3 years ago! Why? Because Arpaio knew Mike stood the best chance against him as anyone ever has. Unlike Penzone, Arpaio doesn’t waste his time on a “nobody.” More than likely Penzone has not been given the distinguished honor of being asked by Arpaio himself to leave the race, again, Arpaio knows there is no contest.

In closing, Penzone is legitimizing the Stauffer camp on a daily basis. With wild “poll” numbers, with each one indicating Arpaio won, to indicating Stauffer only has a “few” percentages points, Penzone is proving his insatiable quest to delegitimize Stauffer, not remove Arpaio. The Penzone camp is not spending money to oust Arpaio, rather to stop Stauffer. They are also claiming on a consistent basis that Stauffer has “no backing, no credibility…” yet they are spending like there is no tomorrow to stop this “nobody.”

Now that the ballots are on the press, everyone can rest assured Mike Stauffer will appear on your November 6 ballot. Our polling shows one thing for sure. Some one will be sheriff on Nov 6, and two people won’t and may the most qualified candidate win. The voters will speak. And That’s the American Way.

—West Kenyon
Campaign Manager

You see, Arpaio is smart enough to know that he cannot risk losing the Independent voters which is why he is allowing the Penzone camp to attack Independent voters, women voters and most importantly Mike Stauffer.

Paul Penzone has his panties in a bunch because we have been calling him out on his domestic violence report that is in his history.

Independent voters of America has a very good story on why Independent voters matter.  They write:

Why is it significant that there’s an independent candidate in the race? Because it will offer a thermometer test for the temperature of Arizona’s rapidly growing faction of independent voters, and whether they’ll support Independent candidates for office.

Despite the fact that electoral math guru Nate Silver already reminded us that “Arizona is probably not a swing state” earlier this spring, independent voters currently make up the second largest voting group in the state, after the Republican Party. While Arizona politics has recently been known on a national level for Arpaio’s antics and Republican Governor Jan Brewer’s finger pointing tarmac greeting of Obama, the state isn’t as extremely conservative as one would think, at least as measured by voter demographics. The number of “mavericky” registered Independents has risen sharply by 23% since John McCain’s 2008 run for President, and now sits at 1,210,241, 34% of all registered voters. With these statistics in light, we’re happy to shine the light Stauffer’s candidacy.

Stauffer recently turned in 29,764 signatures to meet a ballot access requirement of 19,410 signatures….

Since the Democratic organizations are producing flawed polls, they have now forced our hand to work on an Independent Poll.

Let the games begin, but before we go, I will show you a story written by James King who used to write for the Phoenix New Times and the poll he conducted.  Keep in mind the poll below is old, and this is why it is time for us to produce and Independent poll that is not led by a Democratic person and one that is not led by a Republican person or organization.  It needs to be conducted by a true Independent outfit.

An old poll in Phoenix New Times had Mike Stauffer ahead of the pack. Now it’s time for a true independent poll to be had. IT IS TIME.

Women and Independent Voters: A campaign update from (I) Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff Race

Wednesday, September 12th, 2012

West Kenyon, Mike Stauffer for Sheriff, Bob Worsley and DeeDee Garcia Blase in Mesa, Arizona, where Mike Stauffer spoke to approximately 350 people at Worsley Event. Stauffer is doing a good job in Mesa and has good Mormon support thanks to Kenneth Smith.

See Campaign MCSO Update Below from Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff:

This morning my Democratic opponent and I were interviewed by the Arizona Republic Editorial Board. Present were representatives from the editorial page, Channel 12, and the digital content staff. As usual, Arpaio did not show. The interview highlighted the stark contrasts between me and my Democratic opponent.I will return the MCSO to a law enforcement agency that is a resource and partner with law enforcement agencies on all levels in Maricopa County. I see the role of sheriff as a law enforcement leader and one who works with the other branches of government to find solutions to the issues facing the residents of the county. My opponent has very little understanding of the role of sheriff as law enforcer and would continue the current sheriff’s practice of endorsing political positions and garnering favor with politicians. My Democratic opponent has issues with maintaining appropriate personal relationships. My opponent engaged in a domestic violence incident with his ex-wife, in which he inflicted documented injuries to her. As a result, a judge found that he was a “credible threat” and ordered my opponent to surrender his service weapons. My opponent was unable to act as a police officer for three weeks. A suspension of duties for this period of time is a serious mark on an officer’s career.

This is the type of behavior one might expect of our current sheriff but not of a candidate wishing to replace him. We have been bound by this type of corruption for 20 years and can no longer afford undisciplined leadership. My Democratic opponent has not gained the support of the law enforcement profession. The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association, my opponent’s former organization, does not even support him, but endorsed my Republican opponent, Arpaio! This is an indication of the lack of faith that the law enforcement profession has in my Democratic opponent.

It is for my integrity, my demonstrated leadership skills, my understanding of the role of the office of sheriff, and my exemplary 29 year career, that I was endorsed by the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs as Maricopa County Sheriff and the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association. I possess the qualities that are needed to restore the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to the agency you expect and deserve.
