New Arizona History Being Made With First Jewish and Chicano Radio Show to Hit KFNX!

Friday, March 22nd, 2013

You guys ready to watch Tea Party heads explode in Arizona?

I am so happy to announce the very first Jewish and Chicano Radio show in the history of Arizona!

DATE OF PREMIER: 31 March 2013

TIME:  10:00 AM on 1100 AM KFNX.

Shalom.  I will be the very first one to tell you that I believe in strengthening Chicano and Jewish relationships! We know that Mexican-Americans are the fastest growing demographic in this Nation, and I have always believed in building a stronger rapport with the Jewish community.

These independent progressive hosts are going into the belly of the beast via KFNX. Do you know how many tea party people listen to the KFNX radio programs? Hell, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are on that station, and I’m afraid Lou and Bobby are gonna get a lot of NASTY calls from the Arizona Tea Party people. In fact, I predict ratings will skyrocket when tea party heads explode once they figure out progressives are talking on that radio station.

En serio!

Lou and Bobby are no dummies — they know there is a need and market for registered independent voters and moderates who will listen to what these progressives have to say.

Con Safos

Laurie Roberts: Joe Arpaio recall doomed by political miscalculation

Tuesday, March 19th, 2013

They ran out of money.

The Joe Arpaio recall is vastly different than the Recall Russell Pearce efforts.  Keep in mind initially there were 2 Recall Russell Pearce efforts and the efforts needed only 10,365 valid signatures.  On the other hand,  recalling Joe Arpaio  is going to require at least 500,000 signatures in order to ascertain the 335,000 valid signatures by May 30. Meanwhile, I am told by Republicans that Arpaio has benefited financially from the Arpaio recall where several of his supporters sent him more money in light of the recall shortly after he was elected as sheriff.

Just in from Lauri Roberts…

Joe Arpaio recall doomed by political miscalculation

Joe Arpaio can hold off on packing up his pink undies. The fast-march campaign to recall the sheriff ground to a slow trudge on Monday as recall organizers confirmed they are out of money.

….

Others, however, said the Arpaio recall was doomed from the start by a combination of political miscalculation and, as one Democratic strategist put it, “recall fatigue”.

“Joe Arpaio is passé and so is any effort to get him out of office,” said Democratic strategist Mario Diaz.

Arpaio not keeping Arizonans safe by hiring a child-sex offender for armed “posse”

Thursday, February 14th, 2013

Just in… Sheriff Joe Arpaio is not keeping Arizonans safe by hiring  a child-sex offender for armed “posse.”

From SALON (read full story here):

Local news affiliate KPHO reported on Arpaio’s “posse” and found that, in the past, the sheriff has hired sex offenders, domestic abusers and other members with criminal records to “serve and protect” the Phoenix-area.

Let’s start with Dominic Boulter, a former member who was arrested — and convicted — for crimes against children.

According to a 2009 article on his arrest:

“Boulter began using an online service called Phonezoo.com in early 2005 to meet young girls between 13 and 17 years old. Boulter ultimately exchanged nude photos and text messages with at least eight underage girls from around the country. Boulter also suggested that he meet the girls in person to engage in sex acts and to get married, according to court documents.

During the encounters, Boulter told the girls he was 15 years old, 27 years old and 32 years old, according to the document.

Boulter admitted to detectives that he had sent harmful images to one underage girl and that he chatted with another via text message and Web cam as he encouraged the child to masturbate, according to court documents.”

And Jacob Cutler, another member of the group Arpaio organized to “save our kids,” has been charged with domestic violence, according to CBS:

“According to a Flagstaff police report, Cutler threw his girlfriend to the ground and choked her while trying to sexually assault her in 2008. When she didn’t cooperate, he allegedly threatened to call police and said they would side with him, because he ‘has a badge.’”

And what if the Phoenix-area community doesn’t want a poorly vetted group that has included child-sex offenders and violent abusers among its ranks hanging around their kids’ schools? Too bad, says Sheriff Joe.

The 3 outcomes in the Sheriff Joe Arpaio Race and Arpaio’s multi-million dollar war chest

Tuesday, November 6th, 2012

The video below is an analysis with regard to the Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff (R) Joe Arpaio / (I) Mike Stauffer / (D) Paul Penzone race.  It tells us what to expect.

Former Republican Mike Stauffer — now an Independent candidate knew that it would take a conservative to win in a red-leaning state.

Are there enough angry independent voters and moderate Republican voters to help oust Arpaio?

Did Arpaio’s mass mailer hitting every mailbox in the County explaining how (I) Candidate Mike Stauffer wanted to eliminate Tent City while exposing Penzone’s domestic violence background have an impact?

We can’t wait to see what the results will look like, and the National Tequila Party Movement will buy the detailed report from Purcell’s office to analyze this race further.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Watch: Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer Comments on Race tonight

Tuesday, November 6th, 2012

I will be spending this evening with the Mike Stauffer for Sheriff campaign tonight while the Lead Co-President of the National Tequila Party Movement via Shirl Mora James will be with US Senate Candidate Bob Kerrey who is going up against a tea party extremist in Nebraska.

Obviously there are three possible outcomes to this race we discussed here:

What to expect in the Sheriff Joe Arpaio Race … appeal to independents, women and veterans

We will be watching the US Senate seats very closely, and we suspect there will be snags in the Presidential election.

It’s been a long, hard arduous road, and we are glad tonight will close a chapter.

Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff made a statement with regard to the race tonight.

He states:

Friends,

I wanted to take a moment before the end of this campaign to say thank you to everyone. Regardless of the outcome this evening, I wanted to tell you that we have run a campaign that we can be proud of. We refused to compromise our principles or our ethics and did not stoop to the grandstanding, bickering and negativity that is the current trend of partisan party politics. I know that this frustrated some and drew sharp criticism from others for myself and those that supported this campaign. We will be talking after we know the outcome of today’s election, but I wanted you to know that I am humbled and appreciate the hard work and the support you have shown to me and given to the campaign, at some expense for a few of you. No matter what happens, we have contributed to the betterment of our community.

Voter Demographics in Maricopa County regarding Sheriff Joe Arpaio race

Below is a video of the Arizona Sheriff (R) Joe Arpaio / (I) Mike Stauffer / (D) Paul Penzone race and what to expect.

The video is created by women, and for women and independent voters in mind.

You will see us explain the three possible outcomes.

We plan on buying the detailed post election report that will give us a breakdown on how Republicans, Independents and Democratic voted in the Maricopa County Sheriff Office race.

Since independent voters are the 2nd largest voting bloc in Arizona and in Maricopa County, we believe there might be enough pissed off Independent voters that will help pass Prop 121 and support

Mike Stauffer backed by front line police organizations in Arizona

non-partisan Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.

At the end of the video we talk about the mysterious death of the Veteran Marty Atencio who was killed in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s jail and under his supervision.  We are tired of the expensive lawsuits, we are tired of the mysterious deaths, and we hope the good Lord will have his hand on this race.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is “expected” to win, and if he does …. we hope the outcome of the Department of Justice lawsuit will expedite with a swift and just ruling.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio sends out mass mailers appealing to animal lovers. Former Canine Officer Mike Stauffer ultimate animal lover.

Sunday, November 4th, 2012

Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer photo of when he used to be a canine handler in his earlier professional law enforcement career.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio sent out this mass mailer this past weekend appealing to animal lovers, and as an animal lover — I appreciate compassionate acts to animals.

However, Arpaio needs to afford human beings humane treatment in his own Maricopa County Jail. Pregnant women are being handcuffed while giving child birth, and mysterious deaths are occurring in his jails. One death in particular that is very disturbing to me is when a Veteran of the Armed Forces died in his jail unnecessarily.  Arizona tax payers simply cannot afford these multi-million dollar lawsuits we are losing in light of the culture of death in his sheriff’s office.

Video Shows Joe Arpaio’s Officer Used Taser On Latino Vet Who Later Died

We want independent voters of Maricopa County and Republicans who cannot stomach voting for a Democratic Candidate to know they have an option with Independent Conservative Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.

Mike Stauffer is the ultimate animal lover, and in fact, he depended on one in the line of duty.  Mike Stauffer is a former K-9 cop and he will ensure that animal abuse, as well as human abuse is not tolerated.

Here is what Sheriff Joe Arpaio is mass mailing everyone in our county.

Independent Voters of America: “With ‘mavericky’ statistics since John McCain’s 2008 run, we are happy to shine light on Mike Stauffer”

Wednesday, October 24th, 2012

From the Independent Voters of America who did an excellent job of shining the light on (I) Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff:

….

Why is it significant that there’s an independent candidate in the race? Because it will offer a thermometer test for the temperature of Arizona’s rapidly growing faction of independent voters, and whether they’ll support Independent candidates for office.

….

Despite the fact that electoral math guru Nate Silver already reminded us that “Arizona is probably not a swing state” earlier this spring, independent voters currently make up the second largest voting group in the state, after the Republican Party. While Arizona politics has recently been known on a national level for Arpaio’s antics and Republican Governor Jan Brewer’s finger pointing tarmac greeting of Obama, the state isn’t as extremely conservative as one would think, at least as measured by voter demographics. The number of “mavericky” registered Independents has risen sharply by 23% since John McCain’s 2008 run for President, and now sits at 1,210,241, 34% of all registered voters. With these statistics in light, we’re happy to shine the light Stauffer’s candidacy.

Stauffer recently turned in 29,764 signatures to meet a ballot access requirement of 19,410 signatures last month, although he’ll struggle to compete in a fundraising and communications battle against Sheriff Arpaio’s massive war chest. As the Huffington Post reported:

“The sheriff’s campaign fundraising this year appears untroubled, hauling in considerable sums from people living mostly outside the state. In January, he had $3.4 million, after accounting for $2.48 million in expenses, according to his campaign finance records.”

Stauffer’s campaign will attempt to unite Arizona’s Ron Paul Republicans, Independents, and Blue Dog Democrats to pull off an upset win over Arpaio, although it’s any wonder how he plans to compete against Sheriff Joe’s massive fundraising advantage. However, with Arizona’s recent surge of registered independent voters and Arpaio’s declining popularity, who knows what’s possible in November.

Stay tuned to see if Maricopa County independents can walk the walk to the voting booth (assuming they decide to support candidate Stauffer), after talking the talk on their paperwork.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio robo-calls being made by PLEA (Phoenix Law Enforcement Association) to Arizona voters

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

Numerous Sheriff Joe Arpaio calls are being made by PLEA (Phoenix Law Enforcement Association) to Arizona voters with regard to the Maricopa County Sheriff Office race.

The caller (male voice) is stating:

  • PLEA endorsed Arpaio
  • There are two candidates running against Joe
  • Phoenix Law Enforcement behind Arpaio (in fact, they would not even endorse their own former PD officer via Paul Penzone).

Some things John McCain “maverick” type of Republicans ought to consider as it relates to PLEA is:

PLEA is a union conducting collective bargaining, and in fact, it used to be governed by Mark Spencer who got into trouble for breaking police administrative rules with regard to booking people. His last 8 months with PLEA was as a union worker and not as a front line street officer. Mark Spencer was also a big supporter of Russell Pearce and was present when Pearce was cramming SB1070 to the Republican Party and Republican voters at a GOP executive guidance committee in 2009. It was at that meeting, when former registered Republican (now Independent) Mike Stauffer confronted Russell Pearce with regard to SB1070 and how it would negatively impact community and trust police officers have with local residents.

Mike Stauffer backed by front line police organizations in Arizona

Now we are here to set the record straight to inform the public with regard to independent candidate Mike Stauffer receiving an endorsement from one of the largest police organizations in Arizona via AZCOPS. We believe the largest police organization is the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). Stauffer also received an endorsement by POSA, and both AZCOPS and POSA endorsements are important to the law enforcement community because both organizations come from leaders who are on the front line working the streets.

While it is true that PLEA endorsed Maricopa County Sheriff (R) Joe Arpaio instead of one of their own former police sergeants via (D) Penzone, Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer still received praise from front line level police members working the beat.

For those who don’t know about AZCOPS — they are the ones doing the job and on the street as line level members, and they are the ones who are behind Stauffer. Some more about AZCOPS below:

  • AZCOPS is one of the largest police representative organizations in the State of Arizona
  • 4000-5000 members (front line level members)
  • 100 agencies represented

It is a mistake for people to ignore the independent vote in Arizona that is now the 2nd largest voting bloc regarding Maricopa County Sheriff race

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

For the first time in Arizona history, independent voters have become 2nd largest voting bloc surpassing the Democrats.

It is a mistake for people to ignore the independent vote in Arizona that is now the 2nd largest voting bloc regarding Maricopa County Sheriff race.  Several people are forgetting the John McCain “maverick” factor and also forgot how approximately 200,000 independent votes carried the Senator.

Ever wonder why the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio is not attacking independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff and independent voters of Maricopa County?

Indeed Mike Stauffer for sheriff is looking better and better as both the Republican and Democratic candidates go negative against each other.

Arpaio NEEDS the independent conservative vote in order to survive.

More importantly, if Arpaio attacks independent candidate Mike Stauffer for sheriff — then he will have legitimatized him, and he is too cunning and wise to do that. The only folks attacking Mike Stauffer are Paul Penzone supporters and they are shooting themselves in the foot.  Additionally, it was not smart for Ann Wallack  (supports Penzone) to call independent voters “ignorant” either.  Unfortunately the political novices have no idea that independent voters now make up the 2nd largest voting bloc in Arizona and in Maricopa County surpassing Democratic voter registrations for the first time in Arizona history.

More importantly, independent voters become independent voters because we are sick and tired of partisanship gridlock. Period.

Libertarians, Libertarian-Republicans, and Independent voters who support Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff believe that the Sheriff Office should NOT be partisan.  In fact, professionalism needs to be restored at the MCSO.

Who in their right mind would attack key independent voters when they are a surging voter bloc of people sick of negative ads from both the Republican and Democratic Party?

According to ABC News:

Independent voters are an increasingly important voting bloc. They have outnumbered both Democrats and Republicans continuously for the past two and a half years, by far the longest period in which they’ve done so in ABC News-Washington Post polls dating back to 1981.

Gallup’s recent poll bears mixed news for the two parties. While the gap between those who identified as Democrats and those who said they were Republicans widened to 4 percent, more independents appeared to lean toward the Republican Party than to the Democratic Party and the split between the two was equal.

“Increased independent identification is not uncommon in the year before a presidential election year, but the sluggish economy, record levels of distrust in government and unfavorable views of both parties helped to create an environment that fostered political independence more than in any other pre-election year,” Gallup stated.

Here is a breakdown of the demographics in Maricopa County, and it also supports why I believe Mike Stauffer is going to hurt Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the Maricopa County Sheriff race.
