Just in: 75% of Latino Catholics back Obama in Pew Poll — won’t back Republicans who have been hostile towards Latin immigrant community

Friday, October 19th, 2012

Despite all the smoke and mirrors that are out there, we have known all along how Latino Catholics feel about Republican political candidates who are hostile

DeeDee Garcia Blase has a history of protesting Sheriff Arpaio at his own Catholic Church.

towards the Latino community.

The Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a history of not supporting the DREAM Act when he was the Massachusetts Governor.  Little does Romney know how many undocumented Irish immigrants are living in the state of Massachusetts who benefited from the Deferred Action President Obama gave.

However, the Arizona Catholic Church leadership here in Arizona is causing Latinos to question the Catholic leadership’s spinal fortitude in doing what is right here locally and in Arizona.

We are still waiting to see if any major Catholic Newspapers or the local Arizona Catholic diocese will  condemn Sheriff Joe Arpaio since Arpaio is a member of the Catholic Church and take a look at Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff).

(Independent candidate) Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff

For the record, Mike Stauffer has officially supported the Utah Compact and is a good Catholic who has no domestic violence background in his history — and as a woman, I cannot support Paul Penzone who has a domestic violence police record in his history.

The Catholic leadership here in Arizona has only a couple of weeks (before election day) to publicly condemn Sheriff Joe Arpaio in light of the mysterious Mexican deaths he is responsible for and is occurring in his prison.  In fact, a Latino Veteran of the Armed Forces died in Arpaio’s jail.  I am a veteran of the Armed Forces who served in Gulf War I, and I cried and was deeply troubled when I learnt a former military soldier and veteran died under the rule and iron fist of Arpaio.  Indeed Veterans should receive just treatment because they are the ones who risk their lives for this great Nation.

Will the Arizona Catholic leadership take a pro life position with regard to what is happening to my people in Joe Arpaio’s prison systems?

The Tequila Party Movement has been protesting the Tea party favorite Sheriff Joe Arpaio at his own Catholic Church, see here. We battled it out with the Tea Party during our first protest and our protests reached the news in Fountain Hills (Arpaio’s own backyard).  Our protests of Arpaio were also well documented by other local and national media outlets.

Will the Arizona Catholic leadership  be remembered in history as turning a blind eye to Chicano needs and the Mexican-American community?

In the meantime, enjoy the story below where 75% Latino Americans are behind Obama.

Committee for Independent Non-Partisan Law Enforcement (CINPLE) new ad against Sheriff Arpaio’s reckless police operations and vendettas

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012

The self-described “Toughest Sheriff in America” has fostered horrendous jail conditions, reckless police operations, and carried out personal vendettas against political rivals and members of the press. He has also appointed himself enforcer of the nation’s immigration laws in Arizona. VOTE for change in Arizona.

Committee for Independent Non-Partisan Law Enforcement (CINPLE) created the below  new ad against Sheriff Arpaio’s reckless police operations and vendettas.  This is the second one I want to draw awareness to. I bumped into Art Mobley of Phoenix at the Independent Voter Network (IVN)  Discussion Forum today, and he told me that a couple of ads weres created from the Committee for Independent Non-Partisan Law Enforcement  (CINPLE)  against Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Click image below to listen to the newly created ad by CINPLE.

What I especially like about the Committee for the Independent Non-Partisan Law Enforcement (CINPLE) is that it believes partisanship does not belong in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

I agree with that philosophy.

This is why I have always supported independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.

*On a side note:  I have a lot of respect for Art Mobley because of his advocacy in Africa when he helped Nelson Mandela. I admire people who commit to great humanitarian causes.

I ran into Art Mobley of Phoenix at the Independent Voter Network (IVN)  Discussion Forum today, and he told me that an ad was created from the Committee for Independent Non-Partisan Law Enforcement  (CINPLE)  against Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  The ad alerts and reminds  the  public of when Arpaio said that being equated to Ku Klux Klan (KKK) was an honor.

The Perfect Partisanship Storm paving way for non-partisan (I) Candidate Mike Stauffer as (R) Arpaio releases poll showing double digit lead over (D) Penzone

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012

Dear independent registered voters of Arizona:

I believe there is a perfect storm brewing, and it has non-Partisan independent candidate Mike Stauffer’s name all over it.

It’s a well known fact that independent voters become independent because we are disgusted with partisanship and political gridlock.  I believe partisanship does not belong in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, and now is our opportunity to participate in a key race that could send shock waves across the Nation.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio just released a partisan poll yesterday that shows a double digit lead over the Democratic Paul Penzone.  We called Penzone “damaged goods” from the get-go in light of his domestic violence police record, and sure enough … we see Arpaio utilizing millions of dollars attacking Penzone’s domestic violence record while making a mockery out of him, too.  You can see Arpaio’s video attacking Penzone here.  We knew the strategy Arpaio was going to use before he used it, and now he is using what we predicted months ago.  But what we also know is that Arpaio cannot attack the well educated and well qualified Independent Conservative Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff (MCSO) because independent voters now make up the 2nd largest voting bloc in Arizona and in Maricopa County. Unlike the Maricopa County Democratic Party, Arpaio’s campaign is smart enough to not disrupt independent voters who lean conservatively in our state.  Arpaio knows damn well he needs those independent voters and he is concerned that Stauffer will take votes away from the conservative base.  After all, everyone following this race knows (I) Mike Stauffer was a former long life Republican who left the GOP to become an independent.  Stauffer believes, too, that the MCSO should not be partisan.

Keep in mind that (I) Mike Stauffer put his hat in the race first against Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and more importantly he has the education

Key Law Enforcement and large Police groups support MIke Stauffer.

and the experience to lead the 3rd largest County Sheriff’s Department in the Nation.  He has an impressive professional resume you may see here.

According to (R) Arpaio’s memo, it states he has a commanding 15 point lead against (D) Penzone.   Indeed Arpaio has millions of dollars to expose Penzone’s domestic violence Glendale Police report.  The Maricopa County Democratic Party had the audacity to minimize the independent voter in Maricopa County where we (independents) account for the 2nd largest voting bloc in the State of Arizona as well as in Maricopa County.  Make no mistake, we see Tea Party Republicans making the same mistakes by not supporting independent voter rights via Prop 121, too  as it relates to the Arizona Open Primary.  In fact, the ousted Senator Russell Pearce is against Prop 121 Arizona Open Primaries.  Indeed Pearce’s extremism led him to his own demise when he was ousted.

That said — our Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer for sheriff DOES support the Arizona Open Primary via Prop 121.

Why do Independent voters matter, and why are aware politicians and candidates like Arpaio worried about disrupting independent voters?

A record number of us now say we are political independents, swiveling our heads right and left as we watch the Democrats and the Republicans try to govern — and fail.

Forty-four percent of Americans insist they are neither Republican nor Democrat, according to Gallup polling. That is about 9 percentage points higher than surveys showed at the same period in 2008, the last presidential election year.

Independent voters are for the first time, the largest political group in the U.S. and bigger than either party — Democrat or Republican.

“Indies” are now 38%, Democrats 32% and GOP 24% (yes, the Republican group is the smallest).

POLITICO WROTE:

There are now more Americans who consider themselves politically independent than at any other point in the last three-quarters of a century, according to a new report Monday that emphasizes the critical role this demographic will play in the 2012 election.

Almost four in ten Americans, 38 percent, currently identify themselves as independents, a Pew Research Center poll found. This is an increase from 32 percent of Americans who considered themselves independents in 2008 and 30 percent in both 2004 and 2000.

So there ya have it, Arizona independent voters.

Make a difference.

A vote for (R) Arpaio and (D) Penzone is a wasted vote.  Prove to Arizona and the nation that your vote matters — particularly if you are disgusted with partisanship in the political realm.

VOTE MIKE STAUFFER.

It’s time.

Below is a video from the Stauffer campaign appealing to you — the independent voter.

Arpaio / MCSO jail death lawsuit ends with $3.25 million settlement. Time for former Republican now Independent Mike Stauffer to help prevent culture of death in our jails

Arpaio / MCSO jail death lawsuit ends with $3.25 million settlement in the Deborah Braillard case. Time for former Republican now Independent Mike Stauffer to help prevent culture of

(Independent candidate) Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff

death in our jails.  Arpaio is spending millions of dollars attacking the Democratic Candidate Paul Penzone for his domestic violence history, and we already knew Arpaio would do this.  Indeed we warned the Maricopa County Democratic party to NOT support flawed candidates with a history that Arpaio could use against them.  We knew Arpaio would expose the damaged goods and this is why we have maintained all along that the former Republican, now Independent Mike Stauffer would create a culture of a professional environment at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department.

PARTISANSHIP DOES NOT BELONG IN A SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.

Just in:

Maricopa County taxpayers are set to pay $3.25 million for the death of a diabetic woman inside Maricopa County Jail.

County supervisors will approve the settlement amount in an open meeting Wednesday.

I made my assumptions between Arpaio and the Independent fiscal conservative candidate Mike Stauffer below last year.  Keep in mind that Stauffer was the first candidate to put his hat in the race against Arpaio.

Arizona Needs a “Scrooge” Sheriff without the “Bah, Humbug”!

I heard on the radio that Sheriff Joe Arpaio landed in a helicopter at the Paradise Valley Mall to announce his crack down at Phoenix area malls. Sheriff Joe Arpaio has become Paul Blart Mall Cop on steroids, except Blart was funny. Arpaio wasting millions of dollars is not funny, particularly when the price for a barrel of oil is rising. Who in their right mind during a down economy wastes aircraft fuel and tax payer dollars simply to pull a public relations stunt? Should it not be enough that Arpaio inappropriately spent $99 million?

What’s a few thousand dollars more from a person who has been living so long on the dole? Public and elected officials should act more like Scrooge with sound penny pinching ideas, but without the “Bah, humbug” disposition.

Next to the United States’ Presidential race of 2012, quite a number of people throughout the nation and the world will have their eyes on a local race — the election of Maricopa County Sheriff.

The controversy surrounding this non-border county with a population less than Los Angeles, has been in the spotlight for over a decade now. Unfortunately there is no reason for that other than a narcissistic Sheriff who is in constant need of attention.

Change is in the air however, much to the chagrin of Joe Arpaio and his remaining allies. Not until now has Arpaio faced such a battle to retain his position as Sheriff. The people of Maricopa County, Arizona, are now taking a stand, and groups like the National Tequila Party and Somos Republicans are educating the voters on why it is time for a new Sheriff in 2012.

With the downfall of former state Senate president, Russell Pearce, and former Maricopa County Attorney, Andrew Thomas, the remaining member of the trio hangs by a thread. With less than one year before the general elections, the 79-year-old Arpaio is facing the most highly skilled opponent of his nearly 20 years of campaigning for office. Scottsdale Police Lt. Mike Stauffer, a 29-year veteran of law enforcement will be facing Arpaio for the first time in the general elections as an Independent.

Already activists are lining up and supporting Lt. Stauffer, and word is spreading throughout the County that “a new sheriff is in town,” and for good reason. While several groups will not support a candidate for Sheriff directly, they will be working behind the scenes to ensure the current “Mayberry” Sheriff does not see a sixth term in office.

With the latest press release from the Stauffer campaign, Stauffer delivers real solutions, cost saving measures, and above all constitutional standards back to the system. Lt. Stauffer states in part: “I support the Utah and the proposed Arizona Compact, in that they reaffirm my beliefs in the rule of law and the constitutional enforcement of the laws and statutes passed by the legislature.”

Stauffer also made it quite clear that “tent city” will be a thing of the past as it has done little to nothing to stop repeat offenders. In place of the “tents,” Lt. Stauffer says he will, “replace this facility with a self-sufficient work farm for first time and low risk inmates to learn skills, attend rehabilitation programs and provide food and services to the rest of the county jail system.” He will also partner with county business to hire qualified inmates through a work-release program that will help cover their stay and save the taxpayers millions of dollars over the long haul. He goes on to say: “This will have a positive impact on the recidivism rate, as the former inmate will have skills and the ability to make positive choices.”

According to West Kenyon, Stauffer’s campaign manager: “Unquestionably, this is exactly what we need now, a practical, professional solution to a broken and very corrupt system. Voters are ready for a new non-party politics sheriff. Lt. Stauffer has certainly staked his claim early, filing to run January of 2010, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind he is serious on bringing reform to the system. It is evident with less then one year to the elections there are no other credible candidates for the job or they would have already stepped up to the plate.”

Time will tell but there is good evidence that the voters here in Arizona and beyond are demanding professionals, not politicians. We will continue to fight for what is right for Arizona, and the National Tequila Party Movement will stand firm in supporting quality candidates.

Libertarian Jim Deakin can’t stand politicians who hit women either and Mike Stauffer is looking better and better in Maricopa County Sheriff race

Monday, October 15th, 2012

Jim Deakin is known in our community as a Libertarian.  He saw Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s video against Paul Penzone and stated Mike Stauffer (the Independent Candidate) is looking better.

Several Libertarian-Republicans who are Precinct Committeemen cannot come out in support of Mike Stauffer openly for fear of losing their PC status.

I agree with Jim Deakin….I cannot stand men who hit women either.  Besides, partisanship does not belong in the Sheriff’s office.  We already know that Penzone only managed 6 employees in 2009, and is not fit to manage the 3rd largest County Sheriff Department in the country.

DeeDee Garcia Blase does not own therealpenzone.com – She supports the Mike Stauffer for Sheriff Campaign, not Arpaio

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Now I have heard every thing.

Evidently people are crying a  river because they think I own a website called therealpenzone.com.  I don’t own that site.  Upon investigation, I discovered someone from Oklahoma owns it.  You can see it here. I did notice that Oklahoma site hyperlink to stories I have written, and the author of that blog is clearly an Arpaio supporter, and I am no Arpaio supporter.  I would rather burn in hell than to support a man like Arpaio who is responsible for the death and killing of a Latino veteran in the Maricopa County jail.

Now that I am being falsely accused of owning  http://therealpenzone.com/and being a Sheriff Joe Arpaio supporter,  let me set the record straight:

I want the independent candidate Mike Stauffer to win and beat Sheriff Joe Arpaio because as an independent voter, I believe partisanship does not belong in the Maricopa County Sheriff race. More importantly, I have simply done the math and have discovered that there are 36% registered Republicans, 35% registered Independents and only 29% registered Democratic voters.  In other words, due to the numbers….a democratic candidate doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell.  This is why the Maricopa County Democratic has not been able to oust Arpaio for 20 years to no avail.  Independent registered voters swing conservatively in our state and that is precisely what Mike Stauffer is — an independent fiscal conservative who can take over the Maricopa County Sheriff office on Day 1 with his education and experience.  Stauffer has an advanced degree and the experience to lead the 3rd largest County Sheriff’s department in our Nation.  Both the Republican and Democratic candidate have a high school degree.

Furthermore, Sheriff Joe Arpaio has written a soliciting letter to his supporters accusing me of attacking him and called me a “liberal democrat” even though I was a registered Republican at the time.  I used to be a life long Republican, but the extremism I witnessed caused me to leave the GOP for good and I changed to an independent registered voter for life.

Obviously I am going to support the 2nd largest voting bloc in our county via the independents.  I also support PROP 121 because extremism is ruining our State of Arizona.

Do I work for the Stauffer campaign?

No. I have never been on any political candidate’s payroll — ever.

Do I guest blog on numerous sites?

Yes, I do.  I guest blog on NUMEROUS sites and I believe in social networking that enhances my ability to exercise my freedom of speech and expression via my political opinion.

Am I in charge of the Independent Expenditure paving the way for independent law enforcement?

No, I am not in charge of that nor am I on any sitting board of IE’s or SuperPAC’s against Arpaio.  The persons in charge of the ‘independent’ SuperPAC is a public relations firm that has a reputation of fighting for the Martin Luther King holiday when a boycott against the NFL games was being considered and left a stain in Arizona history.  One of the men considering the independent SuperPac flew to Africa and was instrumental in Nelson Mandela’s cause.   Even though people did ask me to charge a SuperPAC against Arpaio — I respectfully turned it down because I do better at grassroots activism.

I hope this clears the air from the conspiracy theorists that are out there wearing tin foil hats.

LET ME BE CLEAR:  I AM AN INDEPENDENT REGISTERED VOTER WHO SUPPORTS MIKE STAUFFER FOR SHERIFF TO REPLACE ARPAIO.

Here are my reasons why I support independent candidate and prop 121 supporter Mike Stauffer for Sheriff:

About Mike Stauffer:

I am a 29-year police veteran.

I believe strongly in the rule of law as guided by the founding principles of the United States. I believe in providing professional law enforcement and public safety services to all Maricopa County residents. I am guided by the Constitutional principles of due process and equality under the law as originally intended by the Founding Fathers.

I am concerned with the current state of law enforcement in Maricopa County. The constant string of lawsuits and lack of cooperation on the part of the Sheriff’s Office with other law enforcement agencies has seriously degraded the quality of public safety in the county. The current sheriff has turned away from crime prevention and suppression in favor of political grandstanding and expansion of power. I pledge to work to improve inter-agency communication and cooperation between all law enforcement in Maricopa County on all levels.

“The “go it alone,” “rule through fear and intimidation” attitude of the Arpaio administration is inappropriate in dealing with today’s public safety issues. What is needed is strong cooperation and mutual respect between law enforcement leadership and personnel in Maricopa County. This new relationship will strengthen our ability to insure the safety and quality of life for all residents of Maricopa County. We will work together with all local, state and federal law enforcement and homeland security agencies to make this our top priority.” I have been a member of the law enforcement community since 1983.

I began my career with the NYPD as an Auxiliary Police Officer, while earning my undergraduate degree in Government at St. John’s University. Upon graduation, I went on to a full time career with NYPD. I worked as a patrol officer in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I served as one of the first canine handlers in the NYPD’s Canine Unit. I worked in the elite Narcotics Division in Manhattan as a narcotics investigator.

I came to Maricopa County in 1991 and joined the Scottsdale Police Department. I have served as a patrol officer and patrol sergeant. I also served as the department’s Staff Lieutenant, supervising the Internal Affairs Unit, the Public Information and Media Office, and the Budget Office. Currently,

I am serving as a Patrol Watch Commander in the Patrol Division in Scottsdale’s Downtown District. In addition to serving the community in crime prevention I am an online instructor for the Criminal Justice program at the University of Phoenix. I am an instructor of Constitutional Law at the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy.

I have been married to my wife, Grace, for 27 years. I am the proud father of three successful young adults.

Republican Sheriff Joe Arpaio nails Democratic Candidate Paul Penzone’s domestic violence record just as we predicted

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

What did I tell you?

Joe Arpaio cannot attack (Independent Candidate) Mike Stauffer because Arpaio is fearful of losing the maricopa county independent voter support. Arpaio will attack his weakest opponent via Paul Penzone.

We predicted this would happen, and we were one of  the first to inform you how Sheriff Joe Arpaio was going to absolutely nail the flawed Democratic Candidate Paul Penzone.  THIS IS PRECISELY WHY I SUPPORT INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE  Mike Stauffer for sheriff.

Here is what is lighting up television media from the Arpaio campaign:

CAPTION: Arpaio nails Paul Penzone on his domestic violence background

We are tired of extremism and partisanship, and more importantly, partisanship does not belong in the Sheriff’s department.

There are several “first times” in the state of Arizona political history which include:

  1. For the first time, independent voters make up the 2nd largest voting block in our state and in Maricopa County.
  2. For the first time, prop 121 / Arizona Open Primary has successfully surpassed the blocking attempts from Party bosses on both sides of the aisle.
  3. For the first time, Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been called out for the lawsuits he has cost our State and has been sued by the Department of Justice this election cycle.
  4. For the first time, a former LONG LIFE REPUBLICAN (via Mike Stauffer for Sheriff) left the GOP to become an independent voter because the candidate believes partisanship does not belong in a sheriff’s office.

Some of the highlights on the flawed Democratic candidate include:

  1. Penzone does not have  enough experience and education to run the 3rd largest Sheriff’s county department in the Nation
  2. Penzone only managed a whopping 6 employees.
  3. Penzone has a domestic violence background.
  4. Were the Penzone’s “above the law” in their domestic fight?  Why didn’t anyone go to jail with our mandatory Arizona law?

Some of the highlights on the Independent candidate we support via Mike Stauffer from his own site:

I am a 29-year police veteran.

I believe strongly in the rule of law as guided by the founding principles of the United States. I believe in providing professional law enforcement and public safety services to all Maricopa County residents. Maricopa Co. Sheriff Race: The Democrat candidate complained about the Republican Sheriff Joe Arpaio not wanting to debate, but Democrat won’t debate Independent Mike Stauffer

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Another reason why partisanship politics does not belong in the Maricopa County Sheriff race:

The Democrat candidate complained about the Republican Sheriff Joe Arpaio not wanting to engage in a Sheriff debate, but now the Democratic candidate does not want to debate Independent Conservative Mike Stauffer.

Why is that?

Oh the hypocrisy of politicians.

This was the chance for the Democratic candidate to prove to Arizona early ballot voters on why he believes he can manage the 3rd largest Sheriff’s department in the Nation when the (D) only managed a whopping 6 employees in 2009.  Independent conservative Mike Stauffer, on the other hand, was a lieutenant and was a watch commander with the experience and education to lead an organization.  In fact, Stauffer already created a new organizational plan and is ready to take over on Day 1 and manage things intelligently.

Here is an update from Mike Stauffer’s campaign:

Democratic Operatives bring chickens to Joe Arpaio for not wanting to debate opponents. Now Dem. opponent says he too won’t debate. I assume the same Dem. operatives will be delivering Penzone chickens tomorrow.

While Democratic operatives deliver chickens to Arpaio for not debating, Paul Penzone himself pulls an Arpaio and now says he won’t debate Stauffer.

In an interview with Channel 3′s Senior Reporter Steve Bodinet, Penzone says “And you cant say that you are most qualified for a position when you are unwilling to stand next to other opponents… At the end of the day he [Arpaio] owes it to the voters to stand next to his opponents and have the courage to answer questions…”Penzone however contradicts his own words moments later in the interview when asked to debate Mike Stauffer. Penzone quickly pulls an “Arpaioesque” move himself stating “No way, I’m not vying for second place, I want to go up against the head guy.”

The Stauffer campaign knows the voters of Maricopa County are far more educated and savvy than to fall victim to flip flopping, and unqualified candidates.

Law Enforcement Community via (POSA) Speaks out in favor of Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff (prop 121 supporter)

Wednesday, October 10th, 2012

Yesterday the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) and APA endorsed Sheriff Joe Arapio.  Make a note that the PLEA would not even endorse one of their own former Phoenix law enforcement officers who is the Democratic Candidate.  Unfortunately, Democratic Arizona voters are only 29% of Maricopa County voters.  (There are 36% registered Republicans, and 35% registered independents that now make up the 2nd largest voter bloc in Maricopa County and in the State of Arizona).   That said, Mike Stauffer received two key endorsement from the law enforcement community, too, via AZCOPS and POSA.

Read entire newsletter sent to Arizona area law enforcement officers in Maricopa County:

From The President

You have an opportunity in November to do something very special. You have the chance to remove political cronyism and

We had 30 mothers and 45 kids from the Paiute Community and Scottsdale International Club come to walk along with members of POSA, SPD, Sheriff Candidate Mike Stauffer and his volunteer team running for Maricopa County Sheriff, CiPAAs, Scottsdale Explorers and the Posa Mascot. The walk raised $49,000 to help Keep AZ DRUG FREE!!

grandstanding from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

There are 2 very clear choices in the November election. You can restore honesty, integrity, professionalism and impartiality by electing Mike Stauffer the next Sheriff of Maricopa County. Or you can elect to stay mired in the backscratching nepotism of partisan party politics by electing Republican Party candidate Arpaio or Democratic Party candidate Penzone. These are really two sides of the same coin; heads cronyism, tails nepotism.

We’ve seen firsthand the ineptness of Arpaio’s administration’s handling of law enforcement. There were the firings of longtime Chief Deputies for a laundry list of infractions committed over an extended period, there was a current Chief Deputy testifying in trial that Arpaio is “disconnected” from the day to day running of the department and there were the 400 uninvestigated child abuse and sex assault cases that were hidden during the Sheriff’s stewardship of the city of El Mirage. Every time you see Arpaio’s commercial claiming that he’s fighting for the children, remember all of the victims that never got justice due to his ineptness.

Then on the other side of the coin you have Democrat Penzone, who came late to the race and has the audacity to call for Mike Stauffer, who has been speaking out against Arpaio for years, to drop out of the race. Not because he’s the better man for the job, but because his goal is to unseat Arpaio and the Republican Party, not to put the best man in the top law enforcement job of the county. Democrat Penzone will also bring along all of the Democratic Party nepotism and back scratching. We only have to look at the U.S. Department of Justice to see how well Democratic Party partisans dispense “impartial” justice and their ineptness in the botched handling of the “Fast and Furious” investigation.

It’s time to take back county law enforcement from the political hacks and return it to an impartial law enforcement agency instead of a political machine to reward cronies, push a political platform and persecute those that disagree.

It’s time to elect Independent Mike Stauffer as Maricopa County Sheriff and bring Integrity, Impartiality and Professionalism to the office of Sheriff.

This will be an uphill battle because the political parties will be dumping millions of dollars into this campaign to buy votes so that their party will control county law enforcement. You can help take back county law enforcement by showing support for Mike Stauffer and getting his name and message out to the voters (yard signs are available in the POSA Office) or you can make a donation to Mike Stauffer’s Independent campaign at www.votestauffer.com to help combat the political party money available to his opponents in their quest to buy county law enforcement for their political party.

Vote for Independent, Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff He’s One Of Us!
