The Joe Arpaio recall is vastly different than the Recall Russell Pearce efforts. Keep in mind initially there were 2 Recall Russell Pearce efforts and the efforts needed only 10,365 valid signatures. On the other hand, recalling Joe Arpaio is going to require at least 500,000 signatures in order to ascertain the 335,000 valid signatures by May 30. Meanwhile, I am told by Republicans that Arpaio has benefited financially from the Arpaio recall where several of his supporters sent him more money in light of the recall shortly after he was elected as sheriff.

Joe Arpaio recall doomed by political miscalculation

Joe Arpaio can hold off on packing up his pink undies. The fast-march campaign to recall the sheriff ground to a slow trudge on Monday as recall organizers confirmed they are out of money.

….

Others, however, said the Arpaio recall was doomed from the start by a combination of political miscalculation and, as one Democratic strategist put it, “recall fatigue”.

“Joe Arpaio is passé and so is any effort to get him out of office,” said Democratic strategist Mario Diaz.

Phoenix, AZ - The National Tequila Party Movement will be protesting Russell Pearce and Macayo’s at Macayo’s Restaurant tomorrow evening if the fundraiser is not cancelled. We have no choice but to stand against hate laws and sponsors of these hate laws that have helped to increase hate crimes against Mexican-Americans.

Action Alert: Protest Russell Pearce at Macayo’s Restaurant

WHERE: 4001 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ

DATE: Thursday, June 14th

TIME: 4:30 – 7:00 PM

WHY: Russell Pearce is the proud sponsor of anti-Latino and anti-immigrant legislation via SB 1070. He wants to gain power again and be an oppressive leader again.

Background information below:

I forwarded the below email from Pearce supporters to Macayo’s Restaurant to make them aware of our protest and impending boycott. I am told a manager from Macayo’s corporate office will be calling me first thing in the morning. Macayo’s may not be aware of the Russell Pearce fundraising controversy this will create for them and we are giving them until tomorrow morning to respond. We have already alerted the store management that Pearce is the sponsor of anti-Latino and anti-immigrant sentiment via SB 1070.

The hypocrisy and bigotry of Russell Pearce cannot be ignored and we implore Macayo’s Restaurant to disassociate themselves from the politician many Latinos view as a racist due to his support for restrictionist and protectionist laws regarding SB 1070 and his support for “Operation Wetback.” I have personally confronted Pearce at a political debate/forum, and have asked him not to use such demeaning and derogatory words like “Wetback” but he believes it is a good idea even though I told him this term takes us back to a pre Civil Rights era.

Hispanic buying power nationwide today is $1 trillion, larger than the economies of all but 14 countries in the world. (2010 DATOS/Selig/U.S. Census) And according to Latino FOX News: Hispanics represent $40 billion of purchasing power in Arizona, a state where Latinos have been buffeted by the effects of harsh laws targeting undocumented immigrants. (2012 DATOS)

Latinos, Mexican-Americans, Chicanos all over the southwest will soon be notified that Macayo’s Restaurant is hosting a Russell Pearce fundraiser. As many of you may already know, Russell Pearce is the sponsor of the infamous anti-Latino and anti-immigrant SB 1070 bill that sparked a hateful anti-Latino sentiment across our Country.

The National Tequila Party will be protesting Macayo’s tomorrow since we know that Pearce is having a fundraiser at his event.

On another note, these individuals will have the tea party extremist millstone hooked around their necks as they seek the Latino vote in future years. The below are friends of Russell Pearce (sponsor of anti-Latino and anti-immigrant legislation):

About the National Tequila Party Movement:
The National Tequila Party Movement is a female-led political movement. More females vote in Presidential elections than men strong Latina matriarchs are emerging. It is our goal to communicate to females and Latina matriarchs across the nation with regard to the need for compassion towards undocumented immigrants and the need to fix the broken immigration system. The Tequila Party is currently organizing a national tour of concerts, events, dinners and college rallies that will encourage a massive Latino Get Out The Vote and political participation. This movement is a non-partisan movement. We don’t care how people vote, we just want them to get on the early ballot system, become consistent primary and general election voters.

and Joe Arpaio. I left the GOP for good and will be an independent voter for quite some time. I’m not the only one feeling this way … according to a recent poll, more Americans are leaving the Republican and/or the Democratic party and identify as independent voters.

That said, I do still have several GOP friends and I was just informed by a moderate Republican friend of mine that Russell Pearce is having a fundraiser at Macayo’s Restaurant tomorrow night. The National Tequila Party has notified Macayo’s restaurant of a possible boycott via email.

I called Macayo’s Restaurant and they are unaware of a Russell Pearce fundraising event so I had to forward them the Pearce fundraiser email to them today.

This also leads me to believe that one of Pearce’s friends such as Constantine Querard(Tea Party extremist) may have been the one to secure space for Pearce at the restaurant which is located at:

Russell Pearce has been up to his misrepresentation tricks again. He gives his readers the perception that Harkins Theatres and Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson are in alignment with him on a boycott against the Phoenix New Times (because the newspaper has exposed Pearce’s bigotry and hypocrisy). Pearce is part of the same extreme Tea Party hypocrisy when they expressed outrage with the Arizona boycott — yet, we see Russell Pearce partaking in Arizona boycotts today.

I am starting to see a pattern with the ousted and former Senator Russell Pearce and his B.A.N. organization, and it appears he is holding companies hostage to fulfill his agenda. Little does Pearce and his Tea Party extremists know that business owners will vote their wallet before supporting protectionist ideas. It’s just a matter of time is all.

Turns out … both Harkins and Buddy Stubbs are not affiliated with Pearce in the least bit. I wrote Harkins a letter and they confirmed in writing that they are not in cahoots with Pearce’s B.A.N. Same thing with Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson. Neither are affiliated with the anti-Latino immigrant organization identified as B.A.N.

Russell Pearce’s B.A.N. made an inappropriate claim on their site when they wrote:

“RidersUSA is very happy to hear that Buddy Stubbs has joined us on this cause…”

Apparently the Buddy Stubbs’ company asked Pearce’s B.A.N. to take the information down regarding “the cause” because ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS SELL BIKES, but the Pearce supporters made more threats to the Harley Davidson dealer. The contract Buddy Stubbs had with the Phoenix New Times simply ran out — nothing more and nothing less.

That is why we are here to set the record straight.

The Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson Marketing Coordinator responded immediately and were very nice and professional, and they confirmed they were not affiliated with Russell Pearce’s B.A.N. either. See below:

Letter from Buddy Stubbs Company Dealer for Harley Davidson dated May 11, 2012

There is a pattern by the Tea Party Russell Pearce supporters as they attempt an Arizona boycott against the newspaper who has been critical of their bigotry. They call companies who are advertising with the Phoenix New Times, and it seems they try to hold these companies at hostage. This is the same typical Tea Party rhetoric but in a different form. Pearce & Co. claim to be concerned about pedophilia but they did nothing about the pedophilia in Colorado City, Arizona, and said nothing about Warren Jeffs scaring little girls to death. If Pearce was so concerned about pedophilia, why didn’t he do something about the polygamous reports of pedophilia activity in Colorado City and/or in the State of Arizona, when he was an elected official and had tremendous power as Senate President? Why was it easier for Pearce to push an anti-immigrant law via SB 1070 than to try and protect children from pedophiles such as Warren Jeff?

So there ya have it … perhaps clearing up Pearce’s misrepresentation will alert fellow Arizona business owners of the tactics his supporters are using, and I for one am glad smart companies are treating Pearce like kryptonite. Smart business owners are familiar with Hispanic buying power in our state, in fact, Hispanic buying power nationwide today is $1 trillion, larger than the economies of all but 14 countries in the world. (2010 DATOS/Selig/U.S. Census) And according to Latino FOX News: Hispanics represent $40 billion of purchasing power in Arizona, a state where Latinos have been buffeted by the effects of harsh laws targeting undocumented immigrants. (2012 DATOS)

What’s next for Pearce?

Is he going to tell Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson to stop selling bikes to Mexican-Americans? After all, Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson has been advertising in the Raza Rider Magazine. Chingado, man, are they gonna try and stop the Los Vatos rider memorial salute run, too?

As a 40 year old woman living in Scottsdale … I am definitely looking at buying a Harley Davidson as I look towards the ‘retirement age’. And because the Phoenix New Times has done a good job at exposing bigotry (via Pearce and Joe Arpaio) in their newspaper, I will look at who is advertising in their paper and buy from those businesses. After all … the fastest growing demographic is on their side.

I live in the desert and want to ride in the wild wild west…. who knows, perhaps when I retire I can begin some sort of female veteran biker’s club.

Explain to me how Rep. Raul Grijalva is any different than Russell Pearce and his minions again with regard to boycotting? Why is it not okay for Democrats to boycott businesses but it is okay for Republicans to boycott? No wonder there are more and more Independent voters in the State of Arizona.

Why hasn’t Russell Pearce banned or boycotted Sheriff Joe Arpaio when according to investigations by Arizona law enforcement agencies, Mr. Arpaio’s deputies failed to investigate or conducted only the sketchiest of inquiries into more than 400 sex crimes between 2005 and 2007? Many of those cases involved molested children.

So let’s calculate “sex crimes” shall we?

Let’s see we have 400 sex crimes that did not get investigated by Pearce’s friend via Joe Arpaio vs. 50 arrests that took place in 22 states. Which is worse? Well, we are glad arrests were made, however, what about the molested children where NO ARRESTS were made?

Furthermore, where is Pearce and Sean McCaffrey’s outrage at when JT Ready (known neo-nazi who was baptized into Mormon priesthood by Russell Pearce himself) killed a baby less than 2 years of age?

And lastly, I will be writing Harkins Theaters reminding them of how much money Latinos spend in the state of Arizona and how we perceive Russell Pearce as an extremist, bigot whacko.

JT Ready was a neo-nazi baby killer who was ordained into Mormon priesthood by ousted and former Arizona State Senator

JT Ready and Russell Pearce

Russell Pearce. Pearce has advocated Operation Wetback (his words not mine) policies and self deportation laws that have spurred a series of increased hate crimes in Arizona due to the nature of xenophobic political Arizona leaders. Latinos have been sounding the alarm to this regard when we saw Russell Pearce and Sheriff Joe Arpaio begin their racial profiling tactics against my people.

Now we have a situation where we see another baby who was murdered and hate crimes continue to increase in our State of Arizona. I believe the Mormon Church (and all religious organizations for that matter who “preach” loving our neighbors) should take a stronger position regarding their members who are part of hate groups and advocate hate laws against fellow man. I’m not saying excommunicating individuals is the right thing, however, I believe the Mormon Church ought to consider taking Temple Cards away from people like JT Ready, Russell Pearce, and even Mitt Romney. [For the record: Mitt Romney has aligned himself with Kris Kobach (legal arm of FAIR) who helped lay the legal groundwork for S.B. 1070, Arizona's recently passed anti-immigrant law.]

Why should “religion” step in against hate laws and those who advocate hate towards fellow man while demonizing them?

Because our government is broken right now and powerful evil lobbying groups like FAIR, the John Tanton network, and Kris Kobach are attempting to control our country through divisive fear tactics. If religious leaders can’t work towards keeping the United States “united” debunking divisive fear mongering, then who will?

Religious organizations have stepped in to advocate for principles they believe in before. For instance, the Catholic church had the spinal fortitude in the Denial of the Eucharist to Pro-Abortion Catholic Politicians.

According to Catholic Culture:

Later, in response to questions from the press, the bishop stated that the politician “is not excommunicated. However, she has been denied the right to receive Communion until she forms her conscience in conformity with Church moral teaching and the divine law and goes to confession.”

I hope more Mormon leaders will continue to see that anti-immigrant self-deportation law(s) in a way resembles the Mormon Missouri extermination order. Both SB 1070 and the Missouri Extermination Order advocate mass exodus in order for people to flee persecution. We have witnessed mysterious deaths in the Maricopa Co. prisons, the chaining of pregnant women while they give birth, and people have been killed in our state since the Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed SB1070 into law — and I believe much of this has to do with how political leaders view those of Mexican descent.

Too many killings and murders have taken place here in our State of Arizona against my people, and I believe xenophobia is adding fuel to the fire.

Why did JT Ready kill a baby before taking his own life?

According to USNEWS:

Hugo Mederos, of Florida, told the Republic that the victims were his former wife, Lisa Mederos, 47, their daughter Amber Mederos, 23, her boyfriend Jim “Jambob” Hiott, 24, an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan, and Amber’s 16-month-old daughter Lily…..Morton said Ready had once said of Lily, who was half-Hispanic, “she’s 50 percent ugly,” the paper reported. “That’s how he described her,” she added.

No child should be viewed as “ugly” in anyone’s eyes regardless of their color or ethnic background.

So here we are. We have more deaths.

Should government be to blame?

Or is there a lack of leadership in all religious organizations these days?

Turning a blind eye to laws that advocate hate should not be tolerated. And just as the Catholic Church has taken strong stances in denying the eucharist to Catholic politicians — perhaps it is time for the Mormon Church to step in and deny access to the Temple regarding Mormon politicians who want to lead Americans. I hope LDS leadership will consider taking Russell Pearce’s Temple Card away.

Supporting healthy discussions on how to treat fellow man is one thing — but I think we are going to need to see religious organizations be stronger against growing dark views. Our government cannot really be an effective “light” nor can they really take a “moral higher ground” anymore because money via crony capitalism and special interest groups have infected it with a long-term illness. However, it seems to me that religious leaders who are ordained into priesthood should hold higher standards because of the religious nature. If priests are not abiding by the D&C, the Book of Mormon or Scripture … I think Mormon leadership should consider revoking Temple cards.

While I appreciate the Mormon leadership regarding the Utah Compact that resembles the Mayflower Compact, we need a strong dose of leadership with regard to all religious backgrounds in order to expose the hate laws that are espoused by FAIR, NumbersUSA, the John Tanton network, Kris Kobach and etc.

Time is short … and the Supreme Court is set to make their decision by June 2012. Which religious leaders and/or organizations will step in and take stronger proactive measures in light of an important court case that will affect millions and millions of Americans and human beings?

Will it be the Catholic Church? The Pope of Rome who resides in the Vatican? Will it be the Mormon Church? Will it be the Mormon Prophet Thomas Monson? Will it be evangelical leaders? Or will it be a combined effort of all religious leaders from all religious backgrounds?

I am by no means a member of any religious organization. To be candid, I sense there has been a dramatic drop of church attendance across the nation due to the lack of leadership within organized religious organizations.

Will the United States be on a course towards a Dark Age?

Or, will we continue to be a beacon to the world?

What is it going to take in order for us to heal and unite?

Whatever it is … I hope it will not be tragic.

Even though Russell Pearce did not spend any of his own money in the campaign but raised and spent nearly $261,000 in donations from individuals and political committees, the frameworks for him to seek repayment could lead to the state writing him a check.

According to the Arizona Republic, an Arizona legislative committee on Wednesday passed an amendment that sets up a framework for recalled Sen. Russell Pearce to seek repayment for costs incurred during the recall election. If Pearce requests the money, it could lead to the state writing a check for about $261,000 directly to the former Mesa lawmaker.

Shame on R-Gilbert Andy Biggs for supporting the framework system for a request that gives a recalled candidate taxpayer money. Is this another hypocritical stance of the less government Republicans who want to help foot the bill for a lawmaker who was ousted by tax payers? Where are those tea party members at when they are the ones who pride themselves on less government wasteful spending?

Perhaps Andy Biggs can explain why he feels it is necessary to set up the framework for any recalled candidate to be “reimbursed” using our taxpaying dollars? If this thing passes, Biggs will receive the money in the toilet award for 2012.

UPDATE: The youngest victim 1 or 2 years of age died on the way to the hospital.

I wrote about the close ties between neo-nazi JT Ready and Russell Pearce here.

It has now been confirmed that JT READY is dead. These Tea Party extremists are getting out of hand.

Sources: Sheriff candidate JT Ready among 5 dead in Gilbert

GILBERT, AZ – Sources tell ABC15 that a prominent former neo-Nazi is among five people shot and killed Wednesday in a Gilbert neighborhood.

Police say the victims in the Wednesday shooting are two men, two women, and a young girl between 1 and 2 years old.

Sources say J.T. Ready, who was running for Pinal County Sheriff, was involved in the shooting, however it is not clear if he was the gunman or a victim.

Ready was known to be a member of the National Socialist Movement who advocated using violence to stop people from crossing the border. In a 2010 interview with ABC15 he discussed his beliefs and showed off his cache of high-powered weapons.
