Oklahoma Tornado Chaos 2013

Our prayers and thoughts with those in Oklahoma who lost children and loved ones in light of yesterday’s tornado.

And while the pathetic Oklahoma  Senator Tom Coburn delays tornado relief for his own state, we hope the good-hearted Americans will send a donation to help those hurting families now.

I will never understand the “Party of Hell No” people. Their stubbornness and arrogance is affecting Americans in our homeland.  Why doesn’t Coburn make cut backs in American wars abroad and help Americans here in our homeland instead?!

Where are the so called pro national security people at with regard to the entire border of our country?

Did you know that Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), John Cornyn (R-TX), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and David Vitter (R-LA) have not taken any action with requesting additional funds regarding northern border security despite a U.S. and Canada foil Al Qaeda terrorist plot to derail New York to Toronto passenger train that occurred just last month in April 2013?

Surely these southern senators know the United States has undocumented Canadians in our Nation, too.

Anti-immigrant hardliners like Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), John Cornyn (R-TX), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and David Vitter (R-LA) have taken strong stances against legal comprehensive immigration reform and many did not support the DREAM Act vote of 2010.    Some of these anti-immigrant hardliners have taken shameful stances in equating the Mexican border to terrorism, but where are they at when it comes to the porous Canadian border and actual Al Qaeda as recent as last month?

As a proud woman veteran of our Armed Forces who served during Gulf War I, I believe we should protect all of our borders that touch Canada, the Pacific Ocean, and the Atlantic Ocean, too. Mexican-American veterans are paying very close attention to the actions of our southern Senators as it relates to the Gang of Eight Legal Immigration Reform — specifically in states with heavy Mexican-American population.   2014 and 2016 is just around the corner, and there are approximately 500,000 new “Latin” up and coming of age voters every single year.

Grassley, Vitter, Cruz and Cornyn more concerned with the brown border instead of the one where Al Qaeda terrorist plot was broken via Canada.

USA!  USA!  USA!  Hallelujah!  Thank Heavens! Suspect is alive in order for the United States to possible get sufficient intelligence with regard to why this happened!   Congratulations to the law enforcement authorities who delivered the suspect alive!  Americans are happy!!!!!!

It’s over: Boston bombing suspect in custody

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Suspect At Large In Boston Bombings Is a United States Citizen, yet Senator Lindsey Graham urged the Obama administration to nevertheless consider treating him as an enemy combatant.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) suggested on Friday that the Obama administration should toss the court system and Constitution out the window when handling the missing suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

In a series of tweets that came hours after it was revealed that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the suspect at large in the Boston marathon bombings, is a United States citizen, Graham urged the Obama administration to nevertheless consider treating him as an enemy combatant. The legal status has been used largely for members of al Qaeda and associated forces held at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, military facility and elsewhere. Graham also suggested that the Obama administration should use a drone to track any suspects in the case.

America is “a battlefield because the terrorists think it is,” Graham told The Washington Post. “It sure would be nice to have a drone up there.”

One of the Boston bomber suspects is dead — the other suspect, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev,  is on the run.  Both are believed to be brothers from Russia.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A U.S. law enforcement official and the uncle of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings are confirming that the name of the second suspect is Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older brother of Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a gun battle with police in Massachusetts overnight.

Three law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation, confirmed the bomb suspects were brothers. One of the officials and the men’s uncle confirmed the identity of Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

The uncle, Ruslan Tsarni of Montgomery Village, Md., told The Associated Press that the men lived together near Boston and have been in the United States for about a ten years. They traveled here together from the Russian region near Chechnya.

Meanwhile …  Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his posse will be patrolling public schools in Maricopa County, and that may make some in Arizona feel good but others are complaining that this advances his military dictatorship-style.

Before … the trend in the media had much to do with “immigrant scares” and now we see “gun scares” taking place.  That said — I still can’t understand why a pipe bomber is still on the loose after years of pipe bombs being planted in our State?  Arpaio has been very good at ‘catching undocumented immigrants’ while they are working at fast food restaurants and local businesses — but can he catch the mysterious pipe bomber?

A bomb squad detonated a suspicious device Saturday afternoon at a parking lot in front of a Safeway in Central Phoenix.

The lot near 7th Avenue and Osborn was roped-off and shoppers were being re-routed.

KTAR’s Lou Romano spoke with store employees who said it was “business as usual” inside the store, but the lot was full of police cars and fire trucks.

Authorities are looking for suspects.

Too many pipe bomb incidents are occurring in our state and it seems it would be a good idea to have a bomb dog handler patrolling grocery stores, random neighborhoods where pipe bombs have been discovered in an effort to deter explosives. More importantly, these dogs are trained to detect explosive devices several hundred yards away.
