Breaking: GO ARMY! Ted Nugent Booted From Army Concert for controversial attacks on President of United States

Monday, April 30th, 2012

As a veteran of the Armed Forces, I am very happy with the decisions made by the Commanders at the Fort Knox Army base in Kentucky!

GO ARMY! [I was Air Force, but am really happy with the ARMY right now.]

I wrote about my NRA and Nugent concerns here and here.   If anything happens to President Obama, I am going to rip the NRA into shreds for not kicking Nugent off their board soon enough.  The ARMY made the right decision, now it’s time for the NRA to make a move since most of us (former) NRA members know about the origins of the NRA as it relates to military members who started  the organization to begin with.  Union veterans Col. William C. Church and General George Wingate formed the National Rifle Association in 1871.  I will not pay any membership fees into the NRA until they kick Nugent off their board because they shouldn’t have a draft dodger on their board.  Draft dodgers have  NO business performing for an Armed Forces installation.  Who made the asinine decision to allow a draft dodger onto the NRA board?  Oh, the irony.

Sorry, Nuge, military installations were made for the brave — and you don’t qualify since you avoided the draft.

FROM YAHOO NEWS:

Commanders at the Fort Knox Army base in Kentucky cut Nugent from their annual summer concert after the controversial rocker told the National Rifle Association he will “either be dead or in jail by this time next year” if Obama is re-elected and blasted members of the administration, saying conservatives should “chop their heads off.”

“After learning of opening act Ted Nugent’s recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation,” Army officials posted on the base’s Facebook page.

I am so glad to see this hillbilly in a loin cloth booted off their installation!

The Immigration Issue is not listed on Minority Business Roundtable Survey

Monday, April 30th, 2012

The Immigration Issue is not listed on the Minority Business Roundtable Survey.

Why?

Immigrants are minorities and immigrants founded half of top U.S.  start-up companies.

BOTTOM LINE: Immigrants contribute to the economy and immigration is directly tied into the immigration issue.

Immigrants founded half of top U.S. start-up companies

(Reuters) – Immigrants founded or cofounded almost half of 50 top venture-backed companies in the United States, a new study shows, underscoring some of the high stakes in potential immigration reform.

The venture capital community argues the study, completed by research group National Foundation for American Policy, proves the need to overhaul rules governing how entrepreneurs can immigrate to the United States to spur job development.

“It’s a gamble whether an entrepreneur should stay or leave right now, and that’s not how the immigration system should work,” said Mark Heesen, president of the National Venture Capital Association, on a call with reporters. “What we need is legislation that helps these entrepreneurs from outside the United States.”  FULL STORY.

Did everyone all of a sudden develop amnesia with regard to how immigrants contribute regarding the economy and competitive labor wages for business owners?  How their hard work ethic helps small businesses? Where are those Republican capitalists when you need them? Oh that’s right — they are developing self-deportation laws as we speak as they work towards creating an underclass.

Bottom line:  Immigrants have helped build our nation.  From railroads, to constructing entire communities and neighborhoods …  to raising children for the wealthy, taking care of our elderly and etc.

From CATO:

For less-educated immigrants, the United States needs to find a
way to allow them legal entry and legal residency. The ongoing
demand for immigrants in occupations such as construction, home
services, hospitality services, agricultural, and so on requires that
temporary visas, with possibility of renewal, should be granted to
less-educated workers under the sponsorship of the employee.
Clearly the demand for immigrants in these kinds of jobs is one of the
driving forces that have contributed to the problem of undocumented
immigration. Without finding a legal way to satisfy that
demand and the continued employment of those undocumented,
there will not be a solution to the issue.

Arizona Congressman Jeff Flake concerned about President Obama pouring money into Arizona

DREAM Act student cries after loss of 2010 DREAM Act vote

Whatever happened to the Republican ‘mantra’ of personal responsibility?

Rep. Jeff Flake of Arizona should have been concerned about how Arizona swing voters will vote during 2012 when he decided to cast a vote AGAINST the youth.  According to a poll, Arizona voters support the DREAM Act.  In other words, Flake should have voted in

Joaquin Luna (DREAM ACT Student) who committed suicide day after Thanksgiving 2011 because he felt he had no hope.

support of the DREAM Act in December 2010, but he failed to do so.

Sorry, Mr. Flake.

You flaked out against the DREAMers in December of 2010 because you succumbed to Tea Party extremist pressure, therefore, key swing Independent Latino voters will flake out in voting for you in 2012.  But our reason for not voting for you has much to do with us succumbing to the hurt we see from My People.

Perhaps you should make a full blown apology for not voting in support of the DREAM Act before Cinco de Mayo 2012, or forever lose the bulk of the Mexican-American eligible voter. Your apology will show us that you will get on the right side of things before the 2012 primary election day based on PRINCIPLE and not doing things for political expediency in an era where Latinos have been once bitten twice shy with flip-floppers.

From Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate:

Obama’s eyes are on Arizona.

The New York Times reported this week that Obama’s presidential campaign is pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into their ground game in Arizona. They already have hundreds of volunteers across the state who all share the same goal – register more Democrats.
