Denying our vote is a kick in the rectum….more on Ken Bennett

Friday, May 18th, 2012

I moved to the State of Arizona in late 2006 and had no idea that Ken Bennett’s son received little punishment for shoving broom sticks and flashlights up rectums of 18 boys at a youth camp.  At the time — Ken Bennett was the Arizona State Senate President in 2006.   One mother chimed in and said:

“My son was barely 13, and he was grossly abused,” the mother of a Phoenix boy said.

I had no idea how many crazy people there are at our Arizona State legislature.  Unbelievable!  Ken Bennett made no announcements when he discovered his son’s inappropriate behavior — however these days, we see Ken wanting to take Obama off the ballot in our State of Arizona.   Apparently Ken Bennett is a Mormon who wants to ensure a Mormon president gets elected to the point of entertaining ideas that will get the CURRENT President of the United States off the ballot during the 2012 Presidential elections.  I see major major Mormon cronyism taking place — at the expense of Latino rights.

I just found this out from Dave Morales with The THREE SONORANS:

Remember when the Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, the same guy making news today for saying Obama might not be on the Arizona ballot because he might believe the birther conspiracy … remember when he was the Senate president in 2006 and his son got busted for shoving “broomsticks and flashlights into the rectums of 18 boys in at least 40 incidents at a youth camp in June” and got away with it… then went off on a Mormon mission?

The Republic | azcentral.com

Not even a 2011 Arizona law written just for him could help Roger Barnett. The Arizona rancher this week lost another court ruling in a years-long lawsuit over allegations he assaulted illegal immigrants caught on his land in 2004.

“We hope this will be the final chapter in Barnett’s attempts to avoid paying his victims the judgment that is long overdue,” David Hinojosa, an attorney for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, said in a news release.

MALDEF filed the lawsuit on behalf of the immigrants.

US Department of Education, OCR investigation vs TUSD1 for Racial Discrimination – Tucson Unified School District #1

Friday, May 4th, 2012

The first strike for Ethnic Studies occurred in 1968 by minority students angered by their lack of representation on campus, at San Francisco State University. History repeats itself in the State of Arizona as politicians from the far right attack ethnic studies via TUSD.

Oppressive policies and the ban of ethnic studies are causing dozens of get out the Latino vote organizations to aggressively register eligible Latinos in the State of Arizona.  Eventually, Mexican-Americans will be represented and protected as new Mexican-American leaders continue to emerge out of crisis situations.

Will justice finally come  to TUSD?

We look forward to seeing what will take place with regard to Pedicone and Stegeman and Hicks who are viewed by Chicano and Mexican-American  citizens as folks who embrace bigotry.

2 people dead on Easter — Ambush by an unknown number of subjects in Camouflage Clothing Armed with Rifles

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

I just saw this discouraging news on the Three Sonorans. Men in camouflage armed with rifles?  An ambush?  What the hell is going on in this crazy state of Arizona?

We need the federal government to investigate the possible militia men that may be lurking near the border while killing people.  We hope and want the federal government to especially investigate JT Ready.  A buddy of ousted Senator Russell Pearce.

From Pima County Sheriff Department:

Deadly shooting in Eagle Ranch near Eloy, Arizona leaves two dead.

On April 8, 2012, at approximately 10:35 p.m., agents from the Casa Grande Border Patrol Station, Eloy Police Department, and Coolidge Police Department responded to the Eagle Ranch located at the south end of South Night Sky Street, south of West Antares Drive, in Eloy, Arizona. The response was in reference to shots being fired at an illegal alien smuggling load. The GPS coordinates of the Eagle Ranch are N32 27.750, W-111 44.646. Upon arrival, the law enforcement agencies determined that there was one deceased person in the bed of a pickup truck and a second deceased subject in a wash northeast of the pickup truck. Several border crossers were located hiding in the brush nearby. It was determined that the incident had occurred in Pima County. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department received information and a request to respond to the scene. Pima County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit detectives also responded. It was determined that the border crossers were traveling in a pickup truck in a wash that is commonly used for human smuggling. They were ambushed by an unknown number of subjects in camouflage clothing armed with rifles. Shots were fired at the pickup truck at which time two subjects were fatally struck. Names of the victim’s are not being released at this time pending next of kin notification.

Board votes to let Mexican-American studies director go, crowds outside outraged

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) – Tensions rose as the Tucson Unified School District board drew closer to its Tuesday late night vote on whether to oust the Mexican-American studies director. At one point, the meeting was recessed because the crowd of dozens of MAS program supporters waved signs, handcuffed themselves to each other and chanted inside the board room. The same happened outside, but with several hundred people and smoke bombs and water balloons in the mix. ….  Meanwhile, as a result of the meeting, Arce will soon be left without a job.
