Que Magazine is sponsoring Comprehensive Immigration Reform with Big “Cumbia” Band via GRUPO CONTROLMonday, June 17th, 2013
As an immigration activist fighting to promote legal immigration reform … there is no doubt in my mind that 2013 will be a year for our federal government to fix the broken immigration system. It is either now or never. 2014 will be too late to work further on immigration reform because politicians will start focusing on their campaigns instead of solving complex issues like this one. By 2015 & 2016, Presidential candidates and the 2016 Presidential race will once again dominate the news.
Currently our Senators and Congress are discussing comprehensive immigration reform and they ‘should’ pass something before the July or August 2013 summer recess. We know this — and this is why we have brought in a well known cumbia band featuring GRUPO CONTROL to help us raise awareness for immigration reform and the DREAM Act on June 29th, 2013. It is important to note, GRUPO CONTROL give us a discounted price for this important cause.
GRUPO CONTROL was very expensive to bring into Arizona, but we believe it is worth it to communicate to our community how they must call upon Congress in the final days of this important issue.
We want to give a special thank you to Que Magazine and AZ Notas for helping promote this event.
