Libertarians have a reasonable solution to immigration than the Republicans do

Tuesday, October 30th, 2012

Will the Barry Goldwater Republicans vote for Libertarian Candidate Marc Victor for U.S. Senate? Or will they vote in the enforcement-only immigration Republican Jeff Flake in 2012?

Allow what I write below to land into the hands of the Barry Goldwater Republicans of Arizona.

Jeff Flake knows how to add salt to a wound after first ripping off a scab.

Career politician Jeff Flake was for the DREAM Act, then against it, now he is for it again.

Confused?  You should be.

Why is Flake for the DREAM Act now?  Because Arizona polls in favor of the DREAM Act now.

There was a time many years ago when Republicans pushed for legal immigration reform that benefited businesses, building developers, construction and hotel industries, restaurants and etc.  The GOP then became hijacked by a bunch of Dixiecrats, and now several former Republicans and free market-savvy individuals left the GOP to join the Libertarian Party because Libertarian voters tend to vote their pocket books and do not support government wasteful spending.

I want to highlight  two individuals in the State of Arizona because I know there are many Barry Goldwater Republican voters in our midst.

The two I’m talking about today are Libertarian Candidate Marc Victor and Republican Jeff Flake.

Aside from his immigration reversals, Jeff Flake is for enforcement only immigration policies  unless it involves extending Cuban immigrant vacations on the tax payer’s dime. Why did Flake vote to extend Cuban vacations to begin with if they are supposed to be fleeing the ‘corrupt’ Cuba?    The U.S. is locking up more illegal immigrants than ever … and an Associated Press review shows the businesses have spent tens of millions of dollars lobbying lawmakers and contributing to campaigns.   The cost to American taxpayers is on track to top $2 billion for this year, and the companies are expecting their biggest cut of that yet in the next few years with government plans for new facilities to house the 400,000 immigrants detained annually.

Now contrast Republican-thinking with Libertarian-thinking Marc J. Victor’s views on tax payer dollars being wasted to detain  immigrants.   In other words, immigrants are being detained with millions of our tax payer dollars.  Many of these immigrants do not  have the mens rea factor.

In an immigration case, Victor stated:

Gene Healy is the senior editor at the Cato Institute, and he talks about the burgeoning prison system at the expense of tax payers.

He writes:

At one time, the sanction of the criminal law was reserved for serious, morally culpable offenders. But during the past 40 years, an unholy alliance of tough-on-crime conservatives and anti-big-business liberals has utterly transformed the criminal law. Today, while violent crime often goes unpunished, Congress continues to add new, trivial offenses to the federal criminal code. With more than 4,000 federal offenses on the statute books, and thousands more buried in the Code of Federal Regulations, it is now frighteningly easy for American citizens to be hauled off to jail for actions that no reasonable person would regard as crimes. At the same time, rampant federalization and mandatory minimum sentencing are making America’s criminal justice system ever more centralized and punitive. The result is a labyrinthine criminal code, a burgeoning prison population, and often real injustice. Go Directly to Jail examines those alarming trends and proposes reforms that could rein in a criminal justice apparatus at war with fairness and common sense.

So there you have it.

Will the Barry Goldwater cast their vote for enforcement-only Jeff Flake knowing full well the millions and millions of dollars Arizona builders lost due to restrictionism, protectionism and an enforcement-only atmosphere?  Or will they continue the career politician’s path?

The difference between U.S. Libertarian Senate candidate Marc Victor and Republican Jeff Flake regarding immigration.

Monday, October 29th, 2012

I’m an independent candidate who supports legal immigration that will benefit our economy and our aging baby boom population. A healthy and legal immigration solution will secure our borders, create a safer North American Continent and promote a stronger relationship with our contiguous neighbors.  Enforcement-only initiatives promote a situation that emulates the failed days of Prohibition, which serves only to encourage the underground labor market.  Our government needs the additional tax revenues that new immigrants generate in order to sustain the burgeoning entitlement programs baby boomers require as they continue to retire.  By developing a reasonable legal immigration plan, we create a system where immigrants share American tax burdens as they continue to contribute millions of dollars into our tax coffers.  New immigrants sharing our tax burdens will help discourage our government from increasing taxes, because under the current system these entitlement programs will drain all federal revenues within 15 years.

Jeff Flake has reversed his position on immigration and other political issues that it is hard to figure out where he really stands — and I attribute his reversals to being a career politician who has been at the Hill too long toeing special interest groups.

We are tired of do-nothing career politicians, and in light of election day being 7 days away … I want to highlight what Libertarian U.S. Candidate Marc Victor has to say about immigration:

Similarly to the drug war, the problems associated with immigration are more accurately attributed to immigration laws and other laws than to immigration itself. The United States is largely a nation of immigrants. Historically, the United States has welcomed immigrants who seek to pursue the American dream. Immigration has proven to both strengthen and improve our economy and our country. In the late 1800′s and early 1900′s when the United States experienced huge waves of immigrants from many nations, there were few laws governing immigration. Not surprisingly, there were few problems associated with immigration. Indeed, the term, “Illegal Immigration” was not used. Today, many Americans, myself included, enjoy citizenship and positively contribute to our economy as a result of that massive immigration. The constant waves of open immigration experienced in the United States during that time period have hugely benefited the United States in many ways.  READ HIS FULL VIEWS HERE>>>

Here are accounts of Jeff Flakes’ immigration flip flopping below:

For years, Rep. Jeff Flake was one of the most reliable Republican champions for comprehensive immigration reform.

Not anymore.

As his campaign for Arizona’s 2012 GOP Senate nomination revs up, Flake is explicitly rejecting his past advocacy for far-reaching legislation that would secure the border, enact a temporary-worker program and give many undocumented immigrants a pathway to legal status.

“In the past I have supported a broad approach to immigration reform – increased border security coupled with a temporary worker program. I no longer do,” Flake says in an immigration-policy statement that was expected to be posted on his campaign website as early as today.

“I’ve been down that road, and it is a dead end. The political realities in Washington are such that a comprehensive solution is not possible, or even desirable given the current leadership. Border security must be addressed before other reforms are tackled.”

Flake’s stark shift to a harder line is reminiscent of the right turn that Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., another one-time champion of immigration reform, took while campaigning for president in 2008 and for re-election to the Senate in 2010. As with McCain, Flake’s moderate record on immigration is widely seen as a political liability in an Arizona GOP primary. Many Republican voters and conservative “tea party” activists strongly oppose any proposals they suspect could lead to what they decry as “amnesty” for illegal immigrants. Flake is the only Republican to announce his Senate candidacy.  FULL STORY HERE>>>

Sheriff Joe Arpaio robo-calls being made by woman warning callers not to allow anyone to come to your door to pick up ballots

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

I received a robo-call by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s campaign that was created by a woman warning callers not to allow anyone to come to your door to pick up ballots.  I believe the Arpaio chose a female person to initiate these calls in light of Penzone’s domestic violence history which is why we warned folks not to support flawed candidates.  Flawed candidates cannot beat Arpaio.

I received the call last night at approximately 5:00 pm Arizona time and the robo-call discussed these below points:

  • Tent City
  • Saving Millions of dollars
  • Warning Arizona not to give their ballots to anyone at the door

I believe the rob0-calls coming from Sheriff Joe Arpaio are being made in light of the story below.

If you are one of the more than 1 million-plus voters in Maricopa County who received early ballots, the county recorder has a warning for you: Don’t give your ballots to anyone at your doorstep.

Recorder Helen Purcell told CBS 5 News she has received several complaints about people knocking on doors, saying they are from the county and offering to pick up and turn in early ballots for the voter.

Remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio has million$ of dollars crushing his (Democratic) opponent while leaving Independent candidate Mike Stauffer  alone because Arpaio’s campaign, and certainly Chad Willem knows that independent Arizona voters swing conservatively.  The Arpaio campaign cannot afford to lose the key swing independent conservative vote and this is where Independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County Sheriff can do significant damage to him. On the other hand, political novices and  Paul Penzone supporters are attacking women and independent voters — shooting themselves in the foot.

All along we have supported Mike Stauffer for Maricopa County sheriff because he has the advanced education and experience that both the Republican and Democratic candidates do not have.

There isn’t much difference between the two parties in Maricopa county and there is no room for partisan politics in the sheriff’s office. All we get is someone beholding to their party. What we need is professional law enforcement. Someone who is qualified and has the education, experience and plan to reform MCSO on Day 1.

The independent candidate Stauffer, is that law enforcement professional. Stauffer for sheriff.

It’s time for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department to go non-partisan with Mike Stauffer.  We are tired of partisanship politics in our State.

Candidate and Career politician Jeff Flake is no Libertarian when he voted to increase the debt limit 4x –

Monday, October 22nd, 2012

Candidate and Career politician Jeff Flake is no Libertarian when he voted  to increase the debt limit 4 times.  In fact, the Libertarian U.S. Candidate is Marc J. Victor.  Wil Cardon Republicans have an option to vote for the real Libertarian (Marc Victor) in the general elections come November 6, 2012 — especially the Cardon supporters who are tired of career politicians and special interest groups.

2002: Flake Voted to Increase the National Debt By $450 Billion. In 2002, Rep. Flake voted for passage of the bill that would increase the public debt limit by approximately $450 billion. The bill passed 215-214. [S 2578, Vote 279, 6/27/02]

2003: Flake Voted to Raise the Debt Ceiling to $7.384 Trillion. In 2003, Rep. Flake voted for the conference report on the concurrent resolution that would

set broad spending and revenue targets over the next 10 years. The agreement would allow a tax cut of up to $550 billion to be protected by reconciliation rules. On April 11, 2003 pursuant to Rule XXVII, H.J. Res. 51 was deemed to have passed the House as a result of the adoption by the House and the Senate of the conference report for H. Con. Res. 95, the FY 2004 Budget Resolution. That resolution raised the public debt ceiling to $7,384,000,000. [CRS Report, Votes on Measures to Adjust the Statutory Debt Limit, 1978 to Present, 5/10/11; H Con Res 95, Vote 141, 4/11/03]

2004: Flake Voted To Increase The National Debt Limit By $700 Billion.  In 2004, Rep. Flake voted for a procedural motion that included a roughly $700 billion debt limit increase. The provision inserted into a popular Defense spending bill allowed supporters to sidestep a direct vote on boosting the legal limit on government borrowing, then at $7.4 trillion. Congress approved a $984 billion debt ceiling boost in May 2003, the largest ever, without a stand-along vote, and a $450 billion increase in June 2002. Before that, the cap was not increased since 1997. The measure passed 221-197. [HR 4613, Vote 284, 6/22/04; CQ Today, 6/23/04; AP, 6/22/04]

2004: Flake Voted To Increase The National Debt Limit By $800 Billion.  In 2004, Rep. Flake voted to raise the federal debt limit by $800 billion to $8.18 trillion.  The Washington Post reported, “By passing such a huge increase in the debt limit, with no strings attached, Congress has effectively given the Bush administration a blank check to continue running large deficits, said Stephen S. Roach, chief economist at Morgan Stanley. ‘An open-ended license for this kind of fiscal irresponsibility is a recipe for disaster,’ he said.”  The bill was adopted 208-204. Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson hurting Mitt Romney in 5 battle ground states including Arizona and New Mexico

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

I’m an Arizona independent registered voter who would rather have 4 more years of President Obama than 8 years of the disastrous Romney.  Mr. Etch-a-sketch Romney is a greedy crony capitalist who is simply out of touch with the ordinary American.  He lied about RomneyCare, he supported abortion before he was against it, and he slams almost half of the American population via the 47%.

Ron Paul Revolutionists and Gary Johnson supporters are joining the mass exodus of the GOP.  I used to be Republican, too, but decided to be an independent voter in my state.  I like Gary Johnson.  I especially like his war and immigration policies because they are humane and logical for our era.  The Republican Party is no longer the Big Tent party, particularly with their bigotry and self deportation ideas. Republicans are being accused of attacking the LGBT community and they seem to support voter suppression laws — a big no-no for Libertarians.

I believe Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson is hurting Mitt Romney in 5 battle ground states including Arizona and New Mexico.

See below:

Gary Johnson, who briefly participated in the Republican presidential primaries before switching over to the Libertarians, is polling at about 5 percent nationwide, according to Fox News. However, despite a poor showing in nationwide polls, he does have some pull in key battleground states, including New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.

“He was rating at 13 percent in New Mexico and 9 percent in Arizona in recent polling — not enough to win, but certainly enough to disadvantage whichever major-party candidate he’s drawing votes away from,” Joseph Weber writes for FoxNews.com.

The Johnson campaign has recognized this as a definite possibility.

“Libertarian Presidential Candidate Gov. Gary Johnson Could Deprive Mitt Romney of 5 battleground states, 74 Electoral Votes, 27% of the Electoral Votes needed to win in 2012,” The Libertarian Party said in an email earlier this week.

Although no one can say for certain what, if any, effect Johnson will have on the election, we can look to historical examples to see how this might play out.

“In 1992, third-party candidate Ross Perot won roughly 19 percent of the popular vote, which many people think cut into GOP incumbent George H.W. Bush’s take and put Democratic candidate Bill Clinton in the Oval Office with just 43 percent of the vote,” Webers writes.  FULL STORY>>>

Independent candidate / Prop 121 Supporter Mike Stauffer releases 7 out of 10 video series against Sheriff Joe Arpaio re: Community Focus

Monday, October 8th, 2012

Independent candidate / Prop 121 Supporter Mike Stauffer releases 7 out of 10 video series against Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Mike Stauffer talks about the importance of being community focused.

He is the only one running against Arpaio with the command experience and education to run the 3rd largest County Sheriff Department in the Nation.

He can hit the ground running and already has an organizational chart ready to move forward.

Mike Stauffer is also Arpaio’s strongest opponent because Stauffer is an Independent Conservative.
